​@@YoureTerrific Agreed. Always look for the coupon codes. Nowadays you can find them online as well. And they do depend on your currency. In Euro the coupons are worth 120€ if spending more than 600€ if I remember correctly. Afaik they're available nearly all year long. If there is no current code just wait a few months. On Christmas / holiday season at the latest they do have new ones. Considering that the CW prices are REALLY competetive! I owned four of them including one early Inhouse. The quality and attention to detail is exceptionally good for the price!

The dial reminds me of a 2022 sapphire take on the translucent N64s many of us grew up with. The blue and smoke gray look even more to that style, and I personally would buy a Jungle Green color if they made it. Thanks for the video!

I had C60 Sapphire Black for a year now and I absolutely love it. It's my go to summer watch. And I got a new C63 Bronze with almost the same clear dial a week ago and I'm enamored with it.

Another great review of a great brand! I owned four CW's in the past, including one early Inhouse. The quality and attention to detail is exceptionally good for the price! Especially considering that they almost always have some coupon codes around $125 / 120€ (codes depending on the currency). I also like that the brand and its owners are very responsive. Two years ago I send them an email congratulating them to their new releases and great offerings for fair prices and got a happy and kind response from Mike France, one of their co-founders! It's an honest, down-to-earth brand which is not the standard in this business.

I think that worth mention that CW also have one of THE BEST customer service in the business! Also the watches come with 5 years warranty and 2 months of returning. Ah, and the customer also receives a very nice lifestyle magazine every quarter or so. Needless to say that I am a big fan of the brand. Great review, I hope you make more videos about CW!

I have the blue version of this watch. It's my one and only diver. I'm not much of a diver guy, and they look kind of samey samey to me. But the dial immediately caught my eye; it gives the watch a unique interest and flair. With their occasional is 15% off sales, you can get it for $800 on a strap, which is well worth it, I think. I also got the bracelet. It's quite good for the price, and I think it's the best look for the watch.

I've been a fan of CW for a few years now. They are all super comfortable, built like a tank and are very sparkly with their light-catcher case. Their straps are super comfortable and all of their bracelets come standard with a quick adjust clasp...as they should! I have four CWs including the original blue sapphire when they first launched it. I most recently picked up their Concept watch, which is an amazing work of art! Some of their designs are a little out there, but still more conservative than say Farer, another British micro that makes solid watches.

I'm waiting till summer rolls around to get that blue Super Compressor they make, so I'm a fan of this brand, though I have never seen one on anyone's wrist or any real life situation. My favorite part of this one is that cool strap, and well the least is the color case window. Enjoyed the episode as always !

What's key to CW, although not a huge fan myself, is that they're simply not ripping you off. What you see is what you get, which is a lot more than what can be said for so many small independent brands.

Lovely! Thanks. I got the c60 #tide, which has an incredible sapphire lumed dial and an even better movement. The cases are reportedly made in the same factory as Tudor, Rolex‘s little sister brand, and to me feel nicer than my Hamiltons and Longines….

The watch isn’t your cup of tea but compared to the options you listed, I really like this! Thank you for showcasing it. The neat bezel, crisp case finishing and well thought out strap look great complementing the dial design. The C60 is an example of how waiting for a watch to speak to you shows how desirability can differ. I’d been eyeing the Horage Supersede (different price bracket and packing a lot more except WR) but this stirred me more.

I have very little experience with CW, but I have played around with 2 (belong to a friend). They are surprisingly very nice. They feel nice on the wrist and the new models have very good QC. They remind me of Baume and Mercier in a way. Again cool but underrated.

My C65 Super Compressor is the first watch I unboxed and immediately started cursing becuase it was so jaw droppingly gorgeous in person. While I have other much more expensive things in my collection I will never sell this watch. It has such personality and fun with detailing and build quality that rivals almost anything this side of 5k. For any of my friends wanting to dip their toes into a nice auto I always send them to CW. Whatever they choose it will ooze quality and be a good ownership experience for them.

I’m not crazy about the CW transparent dials either, but I do really like my C60 Elite. It’s the only diver in my 7 watch collection and I like it well enough that I currently have no other divers on my wish list. And I have a lot on my wish list.

I picked up the white 40mm Trident on bracelet a while back. It's my first CW and it is really impressive. The bracelet is as surprisingly nice as the watch head. The only changes I'd make would be to sacrifice 400m of WR for a mm or 2 of thickness.

I've owned several CWs, as well as some of the competitors you mention, i.e. the Longines, Squale, Zodiac and Yema. They're all decent watches (with the exception of the Yema which is junk), but I believe the CWs and Longines are the best in terms of build quality and accuracy.

Hey Evan, I have a question, I'm slowly making my way towards a rolex purchase, and with the lack of any mens rolex availability in my AD in Qatar, I thought I'd ask you since I have noticed that my taste matches yours 99% if not a full 100%. The 2 rolex that spoke to me and are in my close future budget, is the Explorer in your video at around 25k AED (2004-2006) and the discontinued oyster perpetual 116000 which has the Explorer arabic applied in the classic op dial.(2018 and above) at around 26-32k AED. My questions are I guess that the build quality (bracelet solidity, watch heft? That solid feeling I guess) and new vs old since 2006 is damn near 20 years old. And the op 116000 was just discontinued in 2020. Comparison video!? 😂 I would appreciate your opinion. Also you should make a discord? I would love to talk watches with you for hours especially since the ADs here don't really give all that much attention with the oil money and crazy rich customers. Also I realised that this comment is DAMN long. I apologise, and thanks in advance.

I'm a Brit and it's beans on toast thanks very much. I too have looked at CW and can be honest here, they leave me stone cold. It's as if they don't really know where they are trying to get to or what they are. Take the watch you are reviewing. I have seen many similar watches for sale in the octagonal display box at my local supermarket and not one of them is priced at more than $100. They are all show and no go and at a price well worth avoiding. You really should get your hands on a MAEN or two. I bought one a couple of months ago and am mighty impressed with it. They leave CW watches in the beans on toast menu where they belong...

I am a massive fan of the brand and their c60 range - but the sapphire dial variants don’t do it for me either - something about them in person, they don’t pop like in images. The standard trident pro is the way to go. I have the 40mm white dial and it sits very very comfortably in the company of the seamaster 300, Oris divers 65, Seiko spb143, and black Bay in the watch box. If you want to spend £1k on a dive watch then look no further.

I ordered the C63 Sealander Elite with the Titanium Bracelet a few months ago. It was the first CW watch I ever ordered. Upon receiving the watch, I was sadly disappointed in its fit and finish - it really looked cheap to me. When I attempted to manually wind the watch, the stem revealed a pronounced wobble and the movement made a grinding sound. The pins in the titanium bracelet were the most difficult I’ve ever adjusted - I have the proper tools and have adjusted many bracelets from various manufacturers. The only good news about CW was that they stood by their word and accepted my return of the watch and fully reimbursed me. I’d really like to like the CW product, but I just can’t. I BIG pass for me.

I owned the blue dial variant of the model you're showcasing. I wouldn't call it a sporty, I don't believe that it would withstand any pressure under water either. 70 days after my purchase, I bumped my left wrist into a door knob when the transparent blue dial shattered and the hour indicators floated like confetti in a snowball. I sent the watch back to get it fixed and was asked to approve the cost of 170 quid for the repairs by CW. I loved the watch, but I know it would not stand another such silly accident and I would be asked by the designers of this faulty tool to commit to another round of repairs. So I won't fix it, and I won't bother to pick it up either. It was a total waste of hard earned money.

I have never held a CW in person but many of their options, including this one, are pretty cool looking and seem well spec'ed for the price vs the competition. The biggest issue I have is with the Name branding. I am sure it's just me, but it kind of reminds of of a fashion like brand, M. Kors, Tommy Hilfiger etc.. not that the watches resemble that of a fashion brand just the use of the name itself. Sounds stupid but that's a turn off for me.

Yeah I’m down with the blue. That said, I think the only thing holding me back from a potential purchase, is the price. Not that it’s not worth it, it is, but the transparent dial (which is cool and outside the box thinking) makes it seem somehow like a novelty?….and makes the price feel like it should be in the $6-$800 range.

Every January and Julyish they run a big sale and you can grab their watches for 30-50% off. I got a C60 professional on the bracelet for $600. Just be patient and buy at the right time.

It is sooo refreshing to see an honest CW review, even if the CW fanboys will probably not use it in their usual gushing posts... The dial is a plastic disc, something that is often conveniently forgotten... Swiss made... See made in China ( although Tbf many brands can be accused of that) QC has deteriorated since Wera left. Although quality has improved over the years, as has prices, they do provide good value.... in one of their many, many sales.... In answer to your question..... Not at rrp.... Ever

I think the CW walks all over any of the alternatives you mentioned tbh. I don't have much to say about the Longines with the exception that it's possibly targeted less to watch goons. The Doxa, Marathon, Seikos and Zodiac really don't represent comparable value despite the issues you may well have with the SW-200 winding fault. The Archimede and Yema aren't bad choices however they stumble a bit in terms of fit and finishing imo. Largely, tho, I agree that the 600m WR isn't necessary - especially if the watch ends up being the better part of 15mm thick. Finally, I don't think the sapphire dial is really that compelling either. Shame really, CW have nailed other aspects of their designs, the light catcher case, bezel action and their handsets are awesome! Sorry for essay, I really like your videos, your use of colour is lush!

I have the PRX and Trident. The PRX's movement is much better, and bracelet is more finely finished, but otherwise they're very close in terms of quality. The CW arguably has better finished hands and indicies

I thought I'd stop by and view your video as I do enjoy your content. But, in my opinion, Christopher Ward offers outstanding value and brilliant execution for the money. I see some (but not all) of your comparisons to the brand names in the first group but none of the Seiko watches. Come on. Seiko could use some QC lessons from CW and it might be enlightening to do a side by side comparison of the two brands. Peace.

The super compressor is amazing. I purchased the light blue/white. It amazing me how different you can make their watches with the different straps they offer.

I like it but it breaks one cardinal rule for me, doesn't wear flat. The lugs are floating and on my wrist the effect would be even more pronounced. This is one of those brands that I've been meaning to try for years but just have never gotten around to it. Probably one day I will, if the all the stars align and I say Klaatu, Barada.... Neh *sneezes* oh no.

I‘ve had the C63 Sealander GMT in white. Returned it after two weeks for a full refund. The dial was just so bland and had a plastic-like look to it. The bracelet also felt cheap. Their leather straps on the other hand are really good and I kept those.
