It is great that with this series' conclusion, we get a better explanation of why Kion was not present during the Battle of the two prides, and, if Disney decides to make an actual Lion King 3 installment to the cinematic Lion King saga, they have an explanation as to why Kion isn't present in the next movie, and fans don't go flame war on Disney. It sort of seems to hint they are gonna continue The Lion King Saga cinematic style, but we can't be 100% sure. I hope they do, being as Lion King was one of my favorite sagas growing up.

Well male lions have a bigger body shape, females are slim and agile fitted for hunting. It's basically based on actual lions, females take longer to grow and will always be smaller than males

If anyone's interested, here's what the names of the night pride mean uwu Rani - Queen Nirmala - Pure, immaculate Baliyo - Strong (in Nepali) Surak - Protector (I think- because in Hindi, there's a word called Suraksha so ;;) Bonus:: Janna - Heaven (again, there's a close enough word called Jannath that means heaven ;;) Anandha - Happiness Sahasi - Courageous Baliyo's "Ladai!" means "Fight!" and Nirmala's "Aarama Karo" means "relax" but yeah she mentions that u.u I didn't Google most of them so they might be inaccurate. I was just happy that there were Indian lions in the series uwu

Madness Arcade the lineage of Mufasa’s pride actually had migrated to the Pridelands. This explanation is pretty clear as the first lion who had the roar was from the Tree of Life as he had trained his abilities somewhere nearby and that’s where he fully trained Kion. Logically at some point, some of those Asiatic lions became intermixed with Kenyan lions. It is also quite possible that some of the lions from the TOL had migrated to Africa, still keeping in touch, one of those possibly being a descendant of the first lion with the roar sometime when Janna was younger, but old enough to remember.

This 3rd Season really made people appreciate this series a lot more and it’s why a lot of fans of the show and the Lion King Franchise want another Season or Series so we can see more of Rani and Kion’s relationship as husband and wife. A lot of people really enjoyed Rani’s addition because she fits so perfectly into Kion’s life and makes a amazing Queen for the Tree. Kion and Rani together makes the Tree probably even safer than the Pridelands and it’s great to see lifelong love! I hope we see more of this show no doubt!

Is it just me or is the final episode at the end like the greatest moment out of TLK, TLK2, TLK 1/2, and TLG. I’ll be surprised if Disney listens to their fans and add Kion and Rani to TLK 3 in the future. Or they could add a whole new series for them idk but Disney needs to add them to at least something besides the middle to end of the last season in the lion guard cuz Disney is now knowing that almost every or everyone likes Kion and Rani. So they can’t just end off Kions story right.

Kion would have had to use the roar against his own guard with evil intent. When he used the roar on Bunga it was an accident, no evil intent, but he very well could have lost it right there. And yes, when he used it on Baliyo it was out of self-defense, and wouldn't have risked losing it even though he used it on a lion.

Scar isn't Kovu's father (he originally was, but the writers realized that would make him and Kiara cousins). I'm not sure if he'd be from the Night Pride - the Night Pride is Asian lions, and Kovu is most likely an African lion.

In my opinion Kion and Rani relationship. Started off slow with them hating one another and not getting along. But then the Lion Guard offer their help to the Night Pride. I love the pairing of Kion and Rani. It makes the end of the show soooo satisfying. I mean who had ever thought about Kion going to be King before the Episode Long live the queen. Unlike Simba and Nala or Kiara and Kovu, the relationship of them was not determined. And woah did this series make an impact in the tree of life arc, i mean we saw an animal passed away. The first in all junior kids shows by the way. So good, best cartoon show i saw in my 30 years old life, and that is not to discuss.

I really think Rani is a great character. Lion King family trees reminds me of famous Klingon Houses such as the House of Mogh and the House of Martok which are the two most powerful, honorable, and most respected houses in the Klingon Empire in the "Star Trek" franchise. Unfortunately the House of Mogh was mostly wiped out when a traitor to the Klingon Empire [who was a member of the infamous House of Dura's who are Romulan collaborators] betrayed and framed them and had them killed by the Romulans in a devastating attack on the planet Khitomer. Worf, Son of Mogh was the only other survivor who survived the Romulan attack, but his younger brother Kurn [who was barely a year old] wasn't even on Khitomer as he was taken in by an old family friend Lorge on the Klingon homeworld who had no sons of his own in his house decided to raise Kurn in order to protect him. Worf on the other hand was rescued by a starfleet ship and adopted and raised by kind Human foster parents who eventually allowed him to become the very first Klingon to enter Starfleet. Worf still has a strong hatred for the Romulans.

Thanks I could never pronounce the names of Rani's Parents. I agree that Rani is a great addition to The Lion King Canon. I felt the episode itself was another bold move by a series that has always pushed the envelope in regards to quality of story, storytelling, and subject mater for a pre-school show. (Which most of the time it does not feel like a pre-school show).

My theory is that rani’s father is actually also the father of kovu considering they look very alike so I think that rani’s father met zira they had kovu but then after the fall of the pridelands he ran away and found the tree of life were he met his wife and they had balio and rani

I forced my boyfriend to watch the whole third season with me and we loved it! Rani is a great female character were Nala and Kion were never given justice. My boyfriend and I did cry over Janna's death and then joked about how the Lion King is still traumatizing children for generations.

I wonder why didn’t you mention her name. It literally means “Queen” in Hindi (though pronounced RAni, not raNI). Other Night Pride names also seem to be in Hindi, for example Ananda. And Jana seems to me to be a reference to king Janak, father of Sita from the Ramayana. Or maybe not, but it’s a cool coincidence.
