Summer Glaci getting pushed in front of Bride Alaya is very similar to the move of drumping Esther into the field right after Astrius' release. Summer Glaci,, despite the elemental disadvantage, is one of the few tanks that can lead the charge against lightning comps -- heck, it's even one of the reasons I'd recommend running Vow main slot (for the group lightning resist and agi buff). Interestingly, Alaya and Glaci end up making one of the strongest defense comps JP has to offer. Water is my main element, so I've been waiting for a dedicated physical tank for a very long time. Celes has served her watch, but I went into this banner with no hesitation and have no regrets despite having to double pity. I also skipped Raph for this. Hopefully Worldwide gets some of those actual JP banners and fests and we have an opportunity to pick up Raph later down the line for cheap. I like the concise format, although I was a little surprised that you said "I'm not going to go point by point" on the team builds and then did so anyway. There's nothing wrong with doing that, especially for viewers who don't have as much game knowledge. But if you ever need to cut time that's probably where you could throw in a "feel free to pause the video here" and move on. Great job.

Thanks for the feedback, old habits die hard with style in these videos haha, I was at least happy to keep it to ~20 minutes which was my goal. Grats on getting Glaci, but sorry it took so many resources to do so! She is indeed part of a new breed that can hang even against her natural counter!

I'm floored right now. I saved up as much visiore as I could, which is saying a lot because I have zero impulse control. I saved and saved and saved so I could attempt to get Raphe; I really needed one of the new gen tanks and I have a stacked dark roster... and I wasn't able to. I was devasted but as I recently got laid off, I couldn't afford to blow a bunch of money on a game like that. I was so dissapointed, I took a break from the game. I came back when I saw that there was a summer glaciela, not really thinking I'd actually pull her with my middling visiore, but she's my favorite character, by far. I used her OG version forEVER, was never able to actually pull her other versions. But I adore her character. The only real waifu for me in a the game. ANYWAY I FUCKING PULLED HER AND I'M SO FUCKING STOKED. :D

Great job. Not missing a beat. I think the unit is great. They kept her down to earth with horrible subjobs and 1 of the worst unit effects on her card I have ever seen.

At least we got the upgraded bestowed effect for global, can get her up to 55 healing power its quite strong paired with Faris Syldra effect. The card is also insane for the vision ability.

What don't you agree with about my mono water build? I think I did a fine job of explaining exactly why I would use Reagen and Howlet with Glaciela, I'm not pointing out each and every detail in the review but you can see the high strike resist in the wotv-calc build I have linked in the description, I'm trying to keep these reviews to 20 minutes moving forward.

I think Faris is the most overrated unit in wotv. EVERYONE adds her to this build like she is a must play. Miranda is 2x the unit Faris is, does SIGNIFICANTLY more dmg and brings far more to the team at 80 cost.

Yep, she can do quite well, even if it is a physical lightning opponent. If its Skahal or SHelena, she won't do quite as well.

That’s correct l, I misquoted it on my review as 20 area res which is the level 1 value - it is 40 as you mentioned assuming you level it up. As for subjob, I’ve personally been using the mainjob sub for a second potential aoe attack and the self heal she might use in a second gw fight, or if her acc is too low to hit an evade unit for example

By Claud, I'm assuming you mean FF7 Cloud? He's very difficult to build right now as his shards are no longer available; we are expecting a rerun of the Final Fantasy banners at some point soon, but we don't know exactly when, presumably you could get more Cloud shards when that happens. Cloud is no longer a top tier unit, but he's still decent; although Squall is not the greatest unit, he should be at least more powerful than Cloud, and a better long term investment. Rinoa would be good to get as well as she can serve a supportive role on your team with healing and haste.

Yep, I think Amnelis should work pretty nicely with Glaciela, just get as much cast time reduction as you can on her. She can also be a good holder of the Miranda AGI card if you don't have Dark Shiva, or plan to get Dark Siren.

Sol is a fan favorite from FFBE, hoping they treat him well! I agree though, that the general design recently has been for units to stand up a little bit better against their natural counter elements.

I like the new setup. Maybe we dont have 3 months view ahead, but your advice is still just as good. I'll be pulling for her since I grabbed Faris and want to build a water team. But i am scared of Bridal Alaya. I will say that Gumi usually preps for those big JP meta shifts on GL, but I expect Bridal Alaya to not make as big of a splash ( that and Im not top pvp or guild battle, so it matters less)

Make sure to get the Miranda/Water Agility card ready if you haven't yet! +20% Lightning resistance, I can also recommend the Ochu and Scorpion Sentinel espers for high lightning resistance as well. Glaci stands up very well vs physical lightning units, much better than we've seen in the past.

Yay, the Future Look continues! :)) Great job, JB! Pulled for Glacie, was lucky enough to spend only 16k free vis. And another 10k for the VC, but I got new Dark Fina, too. So good pulls overall, pretty satisfied.

The new format is great. Easy to digest. The aura ability immediately makes me think of Aerith's counter heal that heals her neighbors too.

@@faizmuhtada Yes, Astrius can still do quite a lot of damage and can take a hit. Still a pretty solid unit.
