Tua probably gets a KO against Tyson. I don't think Tyson does well when he's up against someone that can take a punch and keep fighting back. But I don't think Tua beats Holyfield. Not because Holyfield would KO Tua or anything, but because Holyfield would drag out the fight to a decision and would know how to handle a raging bull like Tua. Holyfield was great at getting other fighters out of their rhythm. And I don't think Tua would be able to handle that for 12 rounds.

Tua was a badass but Tyson and Holyfield were no pushovers. Tyson had stopped his bobbing and weaving by the time Tua was on the scene but he still had an iron chin (both guys did) and both had iron fists. Tua wins imo bc he was never knocked out or even knocked down and post-prison Tyson was just not as good as he once was. Evander was also very resilient and great fighter w a nasty headbutt. I think he’d use the same strategy he used vs Tyson but he would never knock out Tua. It’d come down to a decision but i have no clue who wins. All three are amazing fighters!

I 100% agree, Tyson has been knocked out, while Tua never got KO'd nor has he ever hit the canvas. During his era, he only ever lost to a decision. Most boxers understood his power and would rather outbox him than go blow for blow with him, which was the smart thing to do. Tua can eat punches, as proven in most of his fights, but specifically with Ike, they set the record for the most punches thrown in a match combined, and no energy was spared nor were any punches pulled. Every hit was borderline haymakers, but Ike later on tested positive for steroids and started hearing voices; he was never the same after that. Honestly, in my opinion, Tua wins. He has the same KO power and can carry that same KO power into later rounds. A prime example is when he KO’d Hasim Rahman in the 10th round, who went on to fight Lennox and KO’d him in an upset victory. Ultimately, his granite chin is what will make the difference in that fight. The only reason he never saw a title was because Lennox had gone back to win his title and was Goated at that time, but if it were anyone else, he would’ve been champ.

I been saying this for years about the Uso David Tua! Stand toe to toe with him and your getting knocked out. Lewis pot shotted Tua from distance,never once traded because he knew he was going to get hurt bad so he actually fought smart and won comfortably on points.Tua knocks out the likes of Tyson,Holyfield,Mcall,Briggs,Peter,Bruno,Ibeabucchi(in a rematch)Morrison,Ruddock....basically any fighter that stands and fights is getting destroyed.

Tua lost a close decision in a war with Ike Ibeabuchi who stood in front of Tua and traded ferocious punches with him. Tua never really hurt Ibeabuchi and vice versa. There are levels in any pro sport. Tua in his prime was certainly top level and one of my favorite fighters of all time. I still watch his highlights. However Tyson or Holyfield in their prime had better movement, defense and speed than Tua. Tyson matched Tua's power. Tyson had better punch combinations. It would have still been great fights to watch. I certainly would have paid to see that!

Why is this even a question? David Tua destroys Mike 100/100 times. Tua not only had a granite chin and bazookas in both fists but the guy never took a step backward, he came at you relentlessly and he never lost aggression or looked deflated while Mike Tyson was good for the first round, and always looked diacouraged if an opponent actually fought back. Tyson would look at the opponent and keep looking after the bell rung, he was intimidated because he was a bully. Tua was not a bully, he was just a force of nature.

Depends. If most Heavyweights stand there against Tua, yeah, they'd lose badly. If George Foreman stands there with David Tua, he'd clean his clock within 3 rounds (just like he did with Smokin' Joe Frazier). I think Holyfield beats him by decision. Tyson, it's hard to say, but I don't think the fight would go past Round 4 or 5. They're both very explosive and one of them would get knocked out.

Tua had the same problem Earnie Shavers did; he came along at a time when there were just too many really good heavyweights. He would have lost to both Tyson and Holyfield. The fights I would have loved to see Tua land would have been with Ray Mercer and Tommy Morrison. Mercer gives him a great fight that could go either way. Tua probably KO's Morrison but it would have been a few rounds of great action!

Absolutely not.. David is my hard number 2. Mike is number one, the only reason I say this. It's because David puts the beats on people. He has hard hits and their consecutive. Mike Tyson had hard hits but was not consecutive most of the time he'd lay em out after one two or three, 93% of the time when mike hit you, you were down. David is a beast a different type of breed just like Mike but when it comes down to it Mike is number one and David's number two which is extremely okay. Both are legendary.
