"Freedom loving Law Enforcement officer" uh, maybe state "conditional freedom lover" lol law is human opinion backed by force, and to claim to be a freedom lover and law enforcer is very contradictory don't ya think. 🤷🏻♂️🤦 basically conditional freedom. As far as the second amendment, in some states it goes, your not free to conceal your weapon except under one condition, pay us money and then your "allowed" to do so. Then theres exceptions for some humans to have their protection where others can not, thats not freedom

OEM only for duty/potential defensive use. A “click” when I absolutely need a “boom” isn’t worth saving $20. Glock mags can be sourced really cheap, especially the bins at gun shows of LE trade ins. There are usually brand new mags hiding in there for 12-15$ Otherwise I just shell out the bucks for 509 oem and Sig macro oem. I don’t embrace the cheap range magazine concept as soending money on something I’ve already acknowledged as sub par just doesn’t seem very cash money. The P365 came with three mags, I'll be adding more, directly from Sig, soon. I've been getting the XTEN mags from Sig because no one else makes them. I have a couple Magpul magazines that came with my Shadow Systems mr920 and although I have never had a problem with the Magpul magazines at the range I used Glock magazines when I edc the Shadow System. My 2 cents. Ran a single pair of magpul 15 round gl9s at the range for months. Around 4k rounds between the both of them without cleaning. One of the two eventually stopped locking back on empty occasionally. Still feeds fine. Again, this is just from neglect. They're caked and baked in carbon. The perks to them is less round rattling, and the geometry prevented the extractor lip of the top round from getting hooked in the back of the glock frame's magwell, making it more like a mag funnel for easier reloads without needing to actually install a magwell

Aim surplus has police trade in mags for like 14 bones a mag and most of the ones I’ve gotten don’t look like they’ve been used much,some are beat but they still work fine. I’ve never gotten an after market mag that works as well as an oem mag. Magpul Glock mags work well enough for the range. I don’t buy guns that have expensive magazines,getting a handful of mags shouldn’t cost as much as the pistol.

Magpul P mags are not steel lined. I would NOT keep Magpul 9mm magazines loaded for extended periods. I own, used Glock/P mags in 12/15/17/21 9mm round. P mags are a good value but just range, training not full carry-defense.

@@DavidLLambertmobile i keep 20 of them loaded in a 5 gallon bucket, they get used then reloaded and sit until the next time i goto the range,usually once a month they get cycled. I've only had one primary Magpul mag fail so thats my trusted type. Pistols though I'll only use factory for duty/carry. I'm fine using Magpul and KCI for range/training but not for duty/carry, mainly because I've had a KCI with a dud factory spring and had almost a dozen Magpul mag followers bind up and cause failure to feed (and thats clean with brass, the issue was even worse back when I was using up the last of my steel cased ammo). Bottom line, vet your stuff and repeat whenever you add something new, then when you've got a system you're confident in stack replacements deep.

But I have a Brigade AR 9, which doesn't get along with magpuls, but run fantastic with KCI, ETC and OEM glock mags, but magpul has issues. I agree with you mostly about buying factory OEM mags. Unfortunately, Beretta dropped the ball with their APX mags. Every single one of my 21rd Beretta mags will not lock back after the last round. I contacted Beretta about this, and didn't get a response. Pretty sure that APX is the last Beretta I own.

As an LEO and a civilian your pistol is your primary weapon. Insert scenario if some terrorist group is attacking, I may not edc a rifle but I’ll battlefield pick up that chopper and my capability has just been upped. You bring to the fight what you have on you as Chuck Haggard would say. A serviceable pistol in a serviceable caliber that you train with that has serviceable defensive ammo and serviceable magazines will do the trick because if we’ve went through that process our mindset, tactics, skill, and gear trump their ideological reason for killing people.

This is one reason that I think the whole "Glocks are overpriced for what you get" is overblown. Considering I can replace my OEM Glock mags for $20 vs around 50 for Sig or S&W, over the years I own the gun that's a massive savings for Glock owners
@SprSonik13Ай бұрын
The thing about cost savings on guns is that a serious shooter blows through ammo at a rate that makes the price of the gun almost irrelevant. Between my range membership and practice rounds, I spend more than any mainstream handgun would cost every year… which is why I prefer guns that are right for my needs/wants regardless of the purchase price.
