I sacrificed material in another wild Dutch! This time it was a Leningrad, and I got into a position where I could give up a bishop for huge initiative. I couldn't resist it! Would you have done that?
The sacrifice wasn't completely sound, but it seemed to give white enough compensation and an interesting attacking position.

Was waiting for this when you hinted at it in the last one, it did not disappoint

I took up the Leningrad Dutch for a bit, but I gave it up because I kept getting into horrible positions. I put it down to me not being good enough, but every time I see it played the positions always look horrible.

If you want to play more aggressively 3.Nc3 is the way to go, because you might play the Mad Dog Attack h2-h4-h5 in answer to ...f5. Check Nakamura-Anton Guijarro, Gibraltar 2016. This opens new options against the Dutch as well: 1.d4 f5 2.c4 Nf6 3.Nc3 and setups with f3 or against the Stonewall Qc2, Nf3 and Bf4 preparing g2-g4.

H- pawn attack works especially well in the Leningrad Dutch as it takes advantage of the g-pawn hook. I always play it

Nd3 check (cant take with pawn because of the pin), if kd1 theres a fork on f2 with the knight, if kf1 rxf2+, lastly if you take the knight with the queen black just takes the rook as it has no more defender.

@@MrHord-di7ig I was thinking about Nd3 Kd1 Nxf2 Kc1 and I’m still attacking the queen but there is Nd3 back

@@MrHord-di7ig actually none of that is working, but if Kf1 Rxf2 Kg1 it’s equal after Rf1, it’s a total mess

Seirawan play winning chess is a very good start. The other books of the series (winning chess tactics, strategy, endings, in this order) are good follow ups.
