Hanging Pawns

In round 2, I faced my former coach, IM Biti, a very strong player and a very nice guy, who knows what I play, and what my weaknesses are. Sun Tzu would be unhappy with the pairing.

I’d say that getting a draw in such a difficult matchup was a pretty good result, also thanks a lot for the in depth analysis sometimes watching games that are not played by super gms but still analyzed so much in detail can be a really good thing for improving especially by hearing the actual thought process behind every move you make So basically thanks for the great videos!

I know you're a humble person so that's why you apologized for your opponent missing a4 because of time trouble. However, by doing that you dismiss a huge part of chess which is time management. I think time management is just as important as anything else in chess. Kudos to you for managing your time better than your opponent which put you in the position to draw the game!

Exactly what i wanted to say, having 30min up to an opponents means a lot on what happened during the game, Stjepan just put a lot of pressure and his opponent had no option but to spend time, thats part of chess

Would be stupid not to, if there's one thing Stjepan does and knows well it's openings

I think it’s also a sort of a dick move for a coach to take advantage of your student’s repertoire holes in a real game, I wouldn’t want to feel unsafe sharing my repertoire with my coach

@@KnightToRememberWell it's his former coach, so whatever, he doesn't know Stjepans prep and he could just look up his former games. Also if their are holes in his play and the coach exploits that, you can consider it a free coaching session.

@@KnightToRemember I don't think you can not share your repertoire with your coach, so the moment you accept a coach you know that if he plays against you you'll suffer haha, it's fine at the end it's not a world championship

Hi . I am a big follower of your content on KZbin, first I want to thank you very much for all the wonderful efforts you provide. I advise any of my friends who want to learn chess to follow your channel. I have a question: Could you make a series on the Nimzo Larsen attack?

nice! but is not a sorprise, i would say that in statics/quiets positions your knowledge is at FM level. You have to play more and more and get more experience. Also, dont offer draw when having an extra pawn, play to the king vs king, there is nothing to lose, that shows psicological weakness.
