You can NEVER wound a Narcissist. They love it! It gives them reason to blame you yet again for all their woes! The only time I ever made a dent Into my Narc ex was to ignore him... He hated it, started whining that " I don't like you like this" I did not respond, stood my ground, remained calm and controlled my own emotions. He left....quick. I had successfully removed his audience,and he went straight over the road to the pub where he had been working on gaining another with a woman he had been working on. His parting shot being " I'm going to the pub, they are nice to Daddy there" to our 8 yr old daughter.

Correct! A reaction whether it be positive or negative is fuel to the Narc. When you completely ignore - that renders them completly powerless.

I simply walk Ed out on my narcissistic husband - had to have some contact as we had a child but apart from this I totally blanked him - 50 years later he still HATES me with a passion lol

Noticed the narc would say things in order to gain admiration and sympathy. These things popped up often so i stopped giving the narcissist the same response as the first time. After a while they said youve changed. Yeah i changed bc you need validated all the time

So interesting … 🤔 I think I wounded my narcissistic boyfriend accidentally … which lead to an abrupt disengagement! He ended it really quickly when I wouldn’t back down about a behavior I’d called him out on … and I refused to give him any fuel.⛽️ He got mad and bailed immediately! I went silent … so did he. It’s been 8 months. Crickets 🦗 Hoping I’ll stay off the radar.

Ignore them. Now you see what they're doing don't play along let them try. Stay strong 💪

Disengage. Don’t say anything to expand on the conversation. If they ask an opinion about something, I don’t have any, I don’t know, that doesn’t interest me. Make sure you have nothing in common. That is how I broke away from my elderst sibling narcissist. It drove her crazy. I also lost it and basically told you I couldn’t take it anymore. Every time we talked I got a migraine. Last time we talked she said something about being irritating or annoying. I ignored it and spoke over her. 15 minutes later the phone call was over. AAA had come and had to go. Since, she is still in my life I keep her on the farthest edge. I real her in to have the required family contact and I put her back when I hang up. It may sound narcissistic. It’s not. It’s self defence. It’ll be another 6 months before the next contact.

The last narcassist who attacked me , referenced me to a femalle Genital . The resonse ; Those are useful , and you wouldnt be here were it not for one , and in that , they are of more use than , you , are ! . Hes been nice since then - sort of & cannot stand that the 3 males he's made a play for , are more plutonic friends than he realised - its diving him nuts ( the narcassist ) . 🙂👍
