WOW Classic - Warrior BIS loot priority list Phase 5

WOW Classic BIS loot priority list for Warriors for Phase 5 when Ahn'Qiraj releases.
I will go through what items are Best in slot the rest of the game, which items are the biggest dps upgrade, highest to lowest, and I will talk about the "decent" dps upgrades and last but not least of course the weapons for each race!
Remember the items you should get yourself first depends on your specific gear and there's no correct answer to how your priority should be.
But if you still have phase 1 weapons for instance you should definitely aim to get a pair of sweet weapons in AQ as one of the first things!
Hopefully this guide will help you out getting closer to those top parses! =)

I think you should make a video where you discuss Black Hands, HoJ, Earthstrike, Jom Gabbar, DFT, Badge of the Swarm. What one should be going for. Situational usage and long term perspective with Naxx and Kiss of the Spider, Slayers Crest etc. I am very unsure about if Badge will be any good. Until we see AQ/Naxx armor values I guess we wont know. Still would make afor a good video

Hm, I won't agree with everything but as you mentioned: It all comes down to what gear you got right now. As Horde I wouldn't go for Titanic Leggings but for t2.5 because it got slightly more crit and strenght. The hit from Titanic Leggings will be pretty much useless because you q HS all the time (if you raid with full WBs). If you got R10 Shoulder + Leggings, just swap it if you got both items - T2.5 shoulders + t2.5 leggings. Even if Annihilation Breastplate isnt bis until the end of classic, it brings a big dps boost (even to Savage Gladiator), so I would Im for this as well. And when it comes to the cape im pretty sure that Drape of unyielding Strength is bis and not the fallen god one. So when it comes to dps increase and not just bis until the end of the game I think you should go for something like that: - Weapon - Gauntles of Annihilation - Breastplate of Annihilation - T2.5 Shoulders + Leggings (you need both if you got R10) - Drape of Unyielding Strength - Hive Defiler Wristguards - Larvae of the Great Worm - Ring of the Qiraji Fury - Barbed Choker I got no Idea about the trinket but I think its not as good as Earthstrike. Not sure if it works, but you pop Diamandflask at 60sec left of boss fight, DW at 30sec, Earthstrike at 20secs left (if it stacks with Diamand flask - does someone know? :X) and if you are orc, u pop racial at last

You can not use two trinkets at once correct - hence why I sim with 80 seconds and not 60 when using jom gabbar. If you're WB'd that 2% hit on titanic legs raises your crit cap though so titanic legs might as well read 30 str 3% crit(for me). I don't know about you guys but fully WB'd I get somewhere around 45-48% crit but with 6% hit your crit cap is only 38% I think, maybe I'm off by a percent but with world buffs and 6% hit i'd be wasting 7-9% crit so having all that extra hit ends up being huge. Maybe you're gear is better than mine and you can easily hit 15%+ hit in your WB gear but it definitely comes in handy having 2% hit on legs. Yes, heroic strike queuing definitely costs some of the value of titanic legs without world buffs but definitely not with WBs. I usually run 10-12% hit and I'm still crit capped WB'd. My guess would be that titanic legs is better if you're WB'd.

Thanks for the guide but I'm still stuck on my weapons choice. I'm a human using CTS + Mala but the Anubisath Hammer seems to be a better OH. My guild uses roll system so I can roll on pretty everything I want so if it drops, should I roll on it? I mean, is the +4 sword skill from Mala better than a 1.80-speed weapon with some AP on it? It provides way more rage (very useful when you lose your world buffs)

Hey DamnboiTV. Regarding human warriors, why are Conqueror's Legguards better than Scaled Sand Reaver Leggings? AP is pretty close and Scaled has 1% more crit, just not hit. If I'm already at around 6-9% hit from other gear, how come swapping 1% crit for 1% hit is better?

Hey bud, Well it really depends on your gear - the bis set i've made is the best one I could make. Conquerors are a tiny bit better because they stack with ZG buff + kings as ally. So 33 str = 38 as horde = 76 ap as ally its even better 41 str = 82 ap. Since ap is the main stat and it improves 100% of all your dmg sources it is as you know the best stat. Also because your white hits gets crit capped when worldbuffed. Hit is not a bad stat beyond 6% but is not as great as str and agi. As for the crit 21 agi = 24 agi = 1,2% crit as horde and 1,3% crit as ally + you get 14 more ap as horde and 20 more as ally :) I'd say around 20 ap is equal to or greater than the 0,7% crit we "lose". Obv if you dont use worldbuffs the sim would look a lot different. :)

Im confused. If you are r10 why would you wear the head and shoulder combo? LHH is too good to take off. Wouldnt the R10 pants and shoulder combo make more sense? And if you are wearing R10 pants is conq/titanics worth losing the 2 set?

Hey bud, Well I have it too - and come p5 r13 gear is not as great as the raid gear. AQ gear has a small advantage but its very close - but if you want to get the bis gear you wanna get the items on this list :). As for weapons - I will personally still be using r14 weaps. A maladath as OH would be the best choice for bosses though. Hoped that helped you.

I ran some sims in fight club with books learned and full consumes/buffs. I am a dwarf warrior with R14 weapons right now. I feel like pugio should be the item I go for as I got a substantial dps boost compared to swiftblade. (Obviously dual wield Death sting MH and Pugio OH would be best for me right now).I was wondering if DFT is considered at all for your BiS lists. Or are activation trinkets better (stack diamond flask with gom/earthstrike)? Also where would Badge of the Swarmguard be best used (besides pvp)?

Hi again! Im back with another qwestion, hope it wont be so easy again. Is Badge of the Swarmguard Good if our raid doesnt have Annihilator. As portal furysim.github.io says bosses will still have 336 armor and it is 5.8 percent of damage reduction. Also what about Scaled Sand Reaver Leggings? May be again it is good only for horde but i wanna them compared with t2.5 and titanic.

The reduction its gonna provide is so minor that its not worth it - instead of doing sunders your rogues can do improved exposed armor on bosses and you will therefore not need annihilator and will reach the armor cap this way. Scaled sand reaver leggings are decent but they are not bis - Titanic leggings for horde and 2.5 for ally is bis. Hey man! Nice items, but as a warrior main of many years in the vanilla circus (private server), would not Earthstrike rank high as a big DPS upgrade? Same with Master Dragonslayer ring in P4, and if you are a 2H warr, should mention shoulders from Frankriss, Badge for Trash, and cloak from Skeram, and what about wrists from Twins, which are bis for DW rest of the game?

Glad to hear that buddy - that is a very good question. If you get the t2.5 legs you can safely lose the bonus but if you want it to make a difference you wanna get both legs and chest for to it improve your dps. If you only swap legs youre gonna maintain the same dps :) Glad to hear you like it bro

Hey Damnboi, fantastic video as always! Bis seems pretty cut and dry with AQ, except for trinkets. I'm in a guild that is most certainly not going to be world buffed all the way through AQ. Is Jom Gabbar/flask still going to be better than DFT/flask or BHB/flask in most scenarios with no world buffs? For more context without being too lengthy, I am BWL bis with CTS/BB(around 30 crit with BHB).

Edgemasters horde warrior here, ive simmed AQR in comparison to CTS and AQR comes out 3 dps higher unbuffed. Would you recommend going for AQR instead of CTS on horde due to less dependence on raw stats and higher top end for windfury procs?

Brad Mundie's yeah I re-evaluated my gearing for phase 5, I ended P4 with DB+BB and with buffs, there are bigger upgrades out there in the form of gear pieces like BPOA or Conq chest, Conq legs, and Conq shoulders. These gear upgrades all sim around the same as the increase in weapon would be. However, without buffs, obviously the crit from the weapon will be a lot more valuable, thus making it sim higher when unbuffed, but nobody cares about unbuffed dps.

If I can hit 6% hit without lionheart helm (DFT, Chrom boots, strykers, ony neck, and don julio), would it be worth trading off lionheart for the raw stats and stam of helm of endless rage since those can scale with ZG and kings?

Remember that unless you are heroic striking every single MH swing then Hit is still quite valuable. The 6% hit is only for abilities not autoattacks

Hey bud, Thanks for watching - Helm of Endless rage is more of a tanking/pvp helmet imo. Its not bad too go above 6% hit - it will still benefit you - but if you can get more str > ap > Agi > crit it has a bigger return than hit those past 6 %.

Hey bud, Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed. I could imagine the gear set would look more or less the same - your stats prio is still hit cap > str > ap > agi > crit. As for weapons your best choice would be Dark edge of insanity (axe spec) - it is the best pve 2 hander weap in the game come phase 5. BRE is only good when you dont have the bosses armor fully reduced - but in a proper guild this should be done from expose armor / sunder armor, faerie fire + CoR. :) If you liked the content make sure to hit that sub button for notifications on future content. For orcs Edge of Chaos MH+Zulian Hacker STR/Tiger/Bear/AGI OH, sims better than AQ MH EoC OH. Best seems to be EoC+ZH Tiger, but differences are quite small

@@DamnboiTV Hacker OH is the best since it puts Orcs to +8 axes and they have good stats. The main thing for it is that it boosts the MH a lot so its real good. For non orcs they are pretty bad, since +3 wep skill alone is pretty useless

Well depends really. DFT is nice to have - I wouldn't say its need to have though. I would use it on trash for instance when Diamond flask is down etc. As for my gear atm its 2 dps increase to use it over HOJ with diamond flask. (not worth :P) As for jom gabbar the faster the fight the better it is to use im sure you're aware ;p

@@DamnboiTV Yep! I totally get where you're coming from. For me, replacing HoJ for DFT with DF is about 7-8 DPS upgrade, while if I replace BHB (when flask is on cooldown) it's about a 3-4 DPS increase which isn't very considerable. I'm running these sims unbuffed at the moment due to anticipating some wipes on the first weeks of AQ. The DPS increase is even greater with buffs (20 DPS upgrade if I replace BHB). I was also thinking about Jom Gabbar VS Earthstrike. I know that Jom Gabbar ends up giving a lot more AP as time goes on but I was also thinking about how long does an execute phase last for (i.e. could we reap the benefit of those 20 seconds). If the execute phase only lasts 10-15 seconds, perhaps Earthstrike would be better because it gives a bigger flat amount of AP right from the start? I'm sure there are fights where it might be beneficial to use different trinkets. Just wanted to share my thoughts :D. Thanks for taking the time to reply man, really appreciate your work! As damnboi said, the weapon skill is worth more than just 3 hit, it's the glancing blow penalty reduction. Believe me if I knew this I probably wouldn't have picked non-human lol. It worked out in the end as I have edgemaster's, got them cheap in Nov.

ZG buff is exceptionally easy to get with Grom’gol being so close to the island or being able to fly to BB. Of all the buffs I would say getting Ony/Nef buff, Rend, ZG is very doable for any horde raider.

If you fear not having the buff or dying often enough to lose them, you can always sim a set of gear without world buffs and see what’s best for you.

Hey buddy, I always raid with ony, zg + songflower as a minimum - hence why I make my guides like this. It's rather easy buffs to get on your own like SapQT mentions and hence the guides are done this way. I'd go sim a set of gear myself without the worldbuffs you dont get for your normal raids then.

I dont understand your logic at all. how is CTS better than the ancient quiraji ripper in every category? it has almost the same stats ( CTS has a bit more AP, the ripper has a bit more crit) but the ancient quiraji ripper has more damage which is the most valuable stat for a main hand waepon.

Because the CTS has raw stats aka STR and AGI which scales with ZG Buff and Kings making it even better. The Ripper has AP and Crit which does't scale with those 2 mentioned buffs.

CTS = 14 str = 28 ap with zg its 16 str = 32 ap so 12 more ap. Agi wise with zg its 16 agi so only .2% less crit. I have DFT, so would u use DFT + Eye of Hakkar + Flameguard Gauntlets, or HoJ - Onyxia Tooth Pendant + Sacrifitial Gauntlets? (Is HoJ better than DFT?) Hmmmm I think Jom is a bit of a trap item for most people. Realistically I would see people using flask and a static trinket over Jom.

Well - its one of the big upgrades and will definitely be nice to have a 2 min cd trinket versus 6min DF. Also for speedrunning I highly doubt you will have DF up for every boss + fights in normal/casual guilds wont be less than 80 seconds on bosses - I highly doubt that atleast :)

Hello Damnboi, from what I've heared from other sources the Jom Gabbar isn't that important for warriors since they want to use Diamond flask. I also got quite comfused when I saw that you have placed diamond flask and jom gabbar as both bis trinkets for warriors. Can you use those two at the same time, I'm not sure but from what I know you shouldn't be able to. Hey bud, Well you can use both just not at the same time - so like mentioned in the description it has to be a 80 second fight. Also the second reason for getting it would be to have an on-use trinket for bosses where diamond flask aint up. And as your link states it really depends on the boss fights length. Which I cannot express at this moment - but I truely believe that Jom gabbar the last 20 secs of a fight with dw, mighty rage etc will be a huge boost to your dmg. More rage for higher executes, higher white hits, and higher crits on BT together with all your cds in general. But its a good question that I must leave to the theorycrafter pro's - im definitely going for it atleast :)
