Question Quaz, once the console commands are entered, does it automatically stay like that everytime you log in? Also, what if you want the commands turned off?

This video is absolutely amazing. I have been playing wow for a long time, and now I am just playing on a mid tier gaming laptop with HDMI into a curved gaming monitor and it is the best I have even seen. I had some issues with items on the ground flashing black and then back to original colors, I fixed it with graphics option directX to 11 instead of 12.

This is an amazing video. I feel like Spell Density needs an even lower setting than Essential. IMO I still see too many spell affects from other players - most notably in open world content (and I only use Base settings).

Great job on the guide! I followed your tips and saw a noticeable FPS boost on my already decent PC. Though I opted for slightly higher settings for better visuals - I'm all about that immersive experience over min-maxing! As for the NVidia Control Panel, I've seen mixed reviews too. excellent job walking through each one while showing examples! i tested several of these out and some like the console commands were so easy to see the difference visually. my game is running pretty smooth through about everything at a solid 100fps currently, up to 130 in less dense areas and its perfect for me. and at 7680x2160 it looks amazing. truly an experience on this bigass monitor. only took like $6k to achieve.... which is very stupid, but man does it look good!

Another thing to note is: The liquid Detail settings should be on "fair". Why? Because you can detect ground effects, which are under water more clearly (like volcanic or other boss mechanics). Was super useful in dungeons like tazavesh in the murloc area with dodging volcanics ;)

That’s correct, imo just the ultra setting is killing performance. The rest have similar performance but you gain a decent awareness boost.

Ok at first i didn't really notice much in DF area, but man i was headed to dmfaire and the details in goldshire/elwynn forest as i stopped to buy profession stuff was incredible. like a different game all together. buildings crisp w/ detail, plus saw it coming way sooner which is nicer when dragonflying so fast, i mean through the tree foliage which is my usual headache. well done well done.

The sharpen command is wonderful, I was trying this out in the emerald dream and the only setting I disagreed with about making things look very different was shadow quality, going below "Good" had a drastic impact on how things looked.

I did eveything as you said and I need to admit it is a significant difference. I just set View Distance, Environment Detail and Ground Clutter to 10 because I love the looks of the environment when doing world quests and so.. Thank you very much!

wow that sharpening tip really helped. the amount of detail and the improved fps i got from this video is crazy. I was normally around 137 fps in the wild and around 35-40 in Valdrakken. With your settings it looks better and I'm around 65 fps in Val and 155-165 in the wild now. That's crazy dude, thank you! I am using a RTX 4070 gpu, Ryzen 7 5600x cpu, 32 GB ram, B550 Mobo for those that are curious.

One thing to note (its almost like blizzard WANTED to make this harder) in current DF raid and a few dungeons particle effects actually have begun to OBSCURE in-game indicators for some abilities, most notably the lines on the tornados for Smolderon. Granted there are WA to turn it off when in the fight, sometimes they glitch and dont turn it back on.

Thanks for the guide! Personally I noticed I cannot play with CMAA or any other Anti-Aliasing enabled cuz it makes the game look like a clayman game (Fortnite-vibes) which I´m not used to. I need my rough edges. Also cannot play without Vertical Sync, the difference when I hit +1000fps in open world and then a few nameplates/other stuff shows up and i drop down to 100-200fps really hurts on the eyes after a while. Rather have it "capped" to not strain my eyes.

Very useful guide, man! 2 things about my experience: 1. Changing rendering scale lower or higher than 100% - dropped my fps by 20% 2. I can't see any visual difference between 16x or 4x anisotropic filtering. So there is no change in FPS as well. Sharpness trick is awesome.

What helped me a lot was changing priority of wow.exe in the task manager on high. That made a big impact.

If you have FPS problems especially during raid encounters or big aoe pulls in m+ you may consider CPU profiling your addons and WA profiling for your weakauras. Due to how WOW engine works it utilises only small portion of your CPU so if you have older CPU or high amount of addons you may experience FPS drops or micro stutters during fights. For me worst offenders were ElvUI, vuhdo and weakauras (but its not possible to play without WA in mythic raid for example). Elvui you can disable and use more lightweight addons to customise UI, for frames use default frames or Grid2 which is way lighter than vuhdo.
