The best part of this is Iridikron being calculating and careful with his aproach in regards to us heroes, he doesnt smile, he doestnt cackle maniacally and even point to Fyrakk that acting reckless would be foolish. If they keep this up he has the potential for being one of the most memorable villains in wow. Im tired of arrogant and overcomfident villains that lose because they ignore the threat we pose.

One thing you didn't mention: this is the first time we've seen Protodrakes in Visage forms. Up until now, we've been under the impression that Visage magic was a gift from the Titans to the Flights. That is evidently not the case anymore - another lie of the Titans?
@austinhawkins3307
@austinhawkins3307 Жыл бұрын
Very likely. I mean, we were also told that part of the reason why the aspects were uplifted was that they had the "spark of intelligence" that the other protodrakes lacked. We've now seen several talking protodrakes, so that was also a lie. I'm also curious about something: Is the term Protodrake perhaps a subtle way the dragonflights/aspects tries to make themselves seem "greater" than? Like, it's kind of like calling a Neanderthal a caveman?

I hope that the Sundered Flame get a lot of story time. The Dracthyr are a race that was literally created to be soldiers. Their awoke to see their leader and father figure dead, his legacy tainted, and their unity shattered by his actions and their newfound free will. Some stayed to try and recover their home and restore what they had, some have found new purpose (with the horde/alliance or otherwise) and some are struggling to adapt. Everyone has to deal with change and loss in their life. There is a huge opportunity to make their story relatable, and I hope it’s not wasted.

At first I was very confused at Vyranoth looking like the Winter Queen, because it also sounds like the same voice actor, but I love the implications suggested by Tali here! Why tho? It's not the devs being lazy or copying, it has to have a purpose! But why and how would the primalists know of the Shadowlands? Was the deals Iridikron made with the Jailor perhaps? In Shadowlands Arthras turned into a tiny blue spark and faded out completely. I personally see the word "Embers" as hinting this is a mirror to that ending, with the last (purple?) spark of Neltharion's energy fading into nothing. But also, what follows an ember in a (real life) fire? Ash follows. (Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.) And there's this little sword called Ashbringer....

Neltharion may not be forgiven for his actions, but this patch would make for a good way for the other Apects to fully understand him and truly mourn the lose of their dear friend, acknowledging what Wrathion always thought, that the old gods killed his father. With whatever he kept from them down here, it could provide a proper catalyst for the remaining aspects to forge their own paths away from the titans and truly guard the world side by side with the other races as equals rather than being above the other races. While Embers of Neltharion makes for a great way to put Neltharion to rest, It would also be awesome if the old gods did bring Deathwing Amalgamate and Galakrond back in order to put them to rest as well. Frankly I can see the two of them being involved in the very last patch with Iridikron.

I almost hope she discovers Iridicron’s true motives (and possibly other allies) and switches sides. I can definitely see her as the one baddie that “doesn’t want to waste her time” with us with how indifferent she behaves with just the stone golem guards. Reminds me of any boss who is more inconvenienced by us invading their area of power rather than excited to kill us. Rather than bargain, just casually leave us with some frosty boys she summons and vanish for two expansions until she’s relevant to the story again somehow as some people tend to do. Which makes me wonder when Azshara is going to make her debut this expansion. She got her break.

I'm hoping we get a 10.2 final raid boss of the three of them. At the end Fyrakk is hurt the most and Iridikrom ends up heartlessly devouring his brother to reempower himself to escape. Vyranoth is unsettled and retaliates against him only to be doused in magma from Iridikrom gaining the power of fire. He then devours Vyranoth and he flys off. Basically following in galakrond's footsteps be begins consuming dragons and primalists alike across the isles.

i love how they show the pure raw power the incarnates have, if someone from the outside watch the cinematic without knowing anything about the game, they will easyly know the incarnates are the baddies, they are super strong and their theme is pretty clear, also the cinematic portraits the Sundered Flame like the heroes, whom lands have been taken from them. With shadowlands while it was obvious the Jailer was the baddie, his motives were blurred, we never had any insight in what happened before he was banished and also his powers were never his own, Domination was not his original gimmick, we never saw what he was like as the Arbiter, we knew what Sylvannas wanted, we knew why she wanted it, meanwhile the Jailer felt like a huge deux ex to explain other stuff in the WoW universe which frankly ruined so many stories, and if it was true, then we never saw his supposed master plan, just a poor execution

I think is no coincidence that we see the Primal Incarnates mirrored on the deep purple colored eye of Sarkareth. That color immediately reminded me that Neltharion's legacy may include his Void corruption as well, and if that is the case the entire Dracthyr race is living through this conflict with some extent of voidy influence. The scene is not a proof of course, but the ambiguity is something that has been deliberately set I believe. Great cinemtic analysis as usual, this kind of videos are those that I enjoy the most ;)

Not only that; in the Waking Shore, there’s a questline in a ruin where the Sundered Flame are gathering artifacts, and they’ve all fallen under Old God domination. If you do the chain as a dracthyr, there’s an extra quest or two where a blood elf makes you purposely get addicted to arcane magic, because the cravings will block out the whispers-showing that *all dracthyr are susceptible to the Old Gods*.

(He can even make those yellow lightnings xD) I hope there will be a scene, where he just casually rips through everyone and everything, without breaking a sweat. It would be really cool, if we would finally get a villain that feels completely unstoppable. Imagine a raid where you fight him to like 90% of health and he just casually says: "Ok, I'm bored with you peasents! Peace out." Kills everyone and flys away. The only problem is, I think this would feel a bit weird, since we just demolished the Jailer, who technically should be way more powerful than a dragon...

Yes, they are each measured to be as powerful as the current de-powered aspects--maybe even stronger; but that's still not nearly as strong as some of the threats we've faced before. But they make up for that by being smart and planning out their moves. They outright say "they killed our sister, and we need to settle the score on that, but she started a fight she wasn't going to win and we need to be smarter than that". The three are all fairly distinct from one another, and they each offer a unique input to their situation. I look forward to seeing them more.

I think we have a pretty good chance of seeing Wrathion use his visage in combat bc he did that while fighting N'zoth!! That cinematic was dope!!! It would be really cool to see that kind of fighting style used by other dragons 👀

Still curious about Razzy and the fact she never showed up in a visage like her siblings. Now the easy answer could be blizz knew she wouldn't be in one for any of her scenes so they skipped making it. But she's also the youngest out of the group. So what if she was just so much younger that she didn't have the incarnate version of a Visage Day yet?

Still may see a version of it because I believe she will be resurrected later in the expansion using what they find in dethwings lab.

We don't really see Raszageth all that much anyway, and it's usually in spaces that are large enough to fit her dragon form. She does have a visage form I would think, no way she could fit through the whole she punched in the Vault of the Incarnates in her dragon form. Even in this cinematic the Incarnates only reshape their bodies so that can fit inside the structure.

Good theory, but it falls apart if you take note that these are the four original incarnates, so they would've gotten the same power at relatively the same time.
@rosenrot234
@rosenrot234 Жыл бұрын
@@H-3X35 True. She could have just been part of a later batch of eggs so she'd be younger than the rest. Even if they likely got their powers at the same time. Its possible she could have just been a later generation that was young when she got her powers

Nah, you dont understand how far in advance they plan all this stuff including how many months a cinematic takes to make. They knew about the visage forms being a thing way in advance. The reason raz didn't get one is because all she did was flying around and wreck havoc. Why would she need to transform in any scene that we saw of her? And also because they clearly decided that the wow factor of revealing visage forms should be in this cinematic to be extra cool

No one really knows this because people didn’t really play HoTS (Heroes of the Storm) But i’m really glad they gave Iridukron the same voice as Deathwing in HoTS. It’s by far the best one out of all the Deathwing voice variations

Fyrakk IS Dr. Nefarious from Ratchet and Clank, and you can't tell me otherwise. Also- this is the Red Lotus from The Legend of Korra all over again- one over-zealous wind/storm based member seeks to unleash her other imprisoned, elemental siblings? These are the best villains Blizzard has ever introduced- and they need to do multi-villains like this again.

I'm probably jumping the shark so hard here, but I have a feeling that the "fire powering the forge" will be Galakrond's heart or some piece of him that is essentially burning with a rage, hatred, vitreal (for the aspects) so hard that it is almost acting as a everburning forge fire.

I like how the Sundered Flame - despite being against the Aspects - are not allied with the Primalists (honestly the Primalists would view ALL Dracthyr as aberrations). They're doing their own thing, which (unfortunately) happens to bring them to conflict with us. They want to keep Neltharion's laboratory from the Primalists (which is good), but they're doing it for selfish reasons (which is kinda bad) , and since we're fighting them in the next raid, WE might need whatever secrets that laboratory is hiding, to defeat the Primalists. But I really like what they've done with the Primal Incarnates as characters. Their visages look cool, their personalities are distinct, and they're already proving to be more interesting villains than the Jailer ever was. Sure, he was the mastermind behind nearly 20 years of lore (according to the new lore), and he was pure evil, but that's not enough to make a compelling villain. But each of the Incarnates have an aspect I really like: Vyranoth has the coolest (pun intended) design, Iridicron has the brains, and Fyrakk is voiced by Matthew Mercer, the voice of Jotaro Kujo from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and Trafalgar Law from One Piece, two of the most beloved anime characters! What's not to love? 10.7 onward will be great!

I'm sure they'll have to hit three incarnates, the infinite dragon storyline and a 5th old god, all of whom would best work as end bosses, so i'm a bit nervous how we'll fit all of them into what i assume is 3 raids and a megadungeon to go... Although i do trust them to pull it off, which is new.
