Hey guys just an update on my latest video of my interview with a gold selling website. The individual I interviewed made some mistakes and typos on the questionnaire I sent him and they would like me to clarify some things to you. 1. They have tried methods of farming through bots but not for the World of Warcraft franchise (other games). 2. They claim to not use gold farmed from bots "We are very reverent in making sure that this is exactly the case." 3. They don't makes "tens of millions" of dollars a month but do make "millions" per month. 4. They do not have permanent office space but have the ability to rent office space from time time. I can't claim responsibility for the misinformation here as I only reported on the information that was given to me. The person I interviewed made the mistakes. I trust my audience to have the intelligence to take all the information here and in the video with a pinch of salt as we are going off the word of the company, without any concrete evidence.

The botting issue is simple if you just think about it from a business perspective. Finding a solution would require money for staff to develop and impliment/enforce a solution. If the cost benefit of this costs them more money than they would make, Blizzard has no reason to put any serious effort into it. Other than the ban waves every few months to garner some goodwill and make it look like they care. Which they clearly don't.

They get money from the wow token selling which only sells if you actually need gold which is done by inflating its value with botting to make conventional manual methods inneffecient. Their playerbase is already paying $180 yearly to play the game, they're already primed to spend more money kn the game so they ultimately dont care about gold selling from a game design standpoint. So a little insight, at least from my perspective. Pre-WoW, I played Last Chaos on the Malay servers. Me and three others, two other US Residents, and a Sweed who ran with me ran an interesting system. For those that know Last Chaos know how p2w it was, especially on the Us servers. As one of the top players of the time before Cubetech went under, the four of us were well known at the time to have 'unstoppable builds'. Open PK system everywhere outside of towns. And how we made a name for ourselves was we proved it by attacking people poaching and scaring off newer players. We dealt with it when we first started, and while the big guilds were warring with another and attacking low levels and demanding their loyalties. We sat down and we crunched numbers, looked for the age old 'hidden integers' of the game. This was when BiS was just a bonus and stats and skill ruled all. Not to say BiS didn't help us, but our namesake was for literal builds. We didn't sell for RM, but, what we did was sold watered down versions of our builds. Ones that came close to ours for in game money. Why? To buy gear for ourselves and our guild, or near the end of it, guilds. We had one of the largest alliances before alliance systems came to play. Now, with that gold, we bought BiS gear, or mats to make our own gear. Them using bots, might be for a similar reason. 170+ people working for them? Some incentive might be in fact helping them gear some of the newer recruits. buying BiS for those that run for the gold, and they may even have a set of gear they run specifically for it.

Blizzard has a boxprice, a subscription, and multiple in-game currencies purchasable with money, but they can't afford to pay gm's. I've already quit because the blantant RMT and over monetization. There is no more getting worse, it's already crossed the line of just becoming a p2w mobile game they duped pc gamers into playing with name recognition.

In 1.5 hours of flying in that zone at 3am EU time i could not get a single herb. That was the day i quit. The whales themsleves, the ones with money that spend it ingame, also will leave the game if there are no peop-le to play with

I guess if they didn't exist the total disposable gold in the economy would be substantially less and thus the wow token price would be less. That's the closed loop the tokens price is based on what the players within the server are able to create and spend. Their big injection of gold through illicit sales isn't affected by the wow token, it effects what the wow token is worth. The token doesn't harm their business at all.

I'm a long timed removed from playing WoW, just came back. That said, how is gold selling hurting wow? Gold has value in wow, but I remember it being pretty limited. In raiding, BoE gear was always very limited and almost never BiS. The only benefit I've seen from videos here on YT comes from GDP raids, where the other players at least still get gold if a gold buying "whale" snipes the desired gear from a player.

No, there are a large portion of players who level up the organic way and know leveling is part of the experience and necessary to learn your class or build. People who buy these RMT services are selfish and lazy and don't care about the impact it has on the games they play, they also tend to be bad at the class they boosted. And honestly, this thing has become the meta because of how overwhelmingly common GDKPs have gotten which are usually fueled by RMT services. Also, the players spamming boosting services 24/7 and using alts to circumvent global ignore lists are almost certainly turning around and selling a lot of that gold they make to said RMT services.

I met AH bot that bypassed ~100 actions per 5 minute rule, he was not only undercutting me and everyone else 24/7 at speed of light but also removing auction while me being hard blocked by 5 minute rule. Its not just botting we are dealing with, they're hackers and exploit every bug/loophole that could be found, and ofc they find it first because of monetary incentive.

Gathering bots are back now in retail. I just spent the law month checkign out retail and in DF, even with the dynamic flying that is dragonflight, the bots are back. So if you are a solo gatherer just getting herbs for yourself, thsi would be me, then you are affected by bands of roving druids in flight form that steal herbs on a 24/7/365 days a year basis. In DF the nodes are not all over the place and have tap limits. Limits which a 10 druid squad will wipe out. So even if yuo get there at the same time you wont get the herbs. WoW , retail wow, is now a disgusting we are goign to milk you for all yo are worth cash grab now. WoW is now a totally soul less game.

My era server has inflated all raid related consumes and their mats, really pisses me off as I’ve never had a lot of gold. I multibox and I level many many alts. With bots comes gold inflation. WoW will now make ppl buy multiple tokens to afford these inflated bot prices. Who dont go to the optional sites. Its pretty clever. Milk the remainjng players who want "safe" gold. I bought 25k gold early WoTLk and got a 3 days ban no big deal. They took 5k gold. Can only imagine how expensive shit is in gdkps. 10s of millions a month? With just the western playerbase? On average each player would be dropping 10$/€ or so each month. And the majority of players don't spend extra cash on this game. Sure you're not just getting lied to by a poser? Same goes for "The RMT industry". Is that any currency sales in any game? 9 Million gold per day on Wrath classic US (230k active characters, not accounts). Average value of a token is 4800 gold, so less than 2000 tokens of value and since you are undercutting it is not more than 30.000$ a day, less than 1 million a month. EU has slightly less active characters on Wrath Classic. Then I look at the offerings on Overgear and people are listing stockpiles of 100 Billion gold on 1 server. Nobody that has any clue about the gold economy of WoW would believe nonsense like that.

Considering that I was making $800 on good days (32mil of retail gold), $500 on average, with just 90 accounts, 10s of millions a month sounds possible. WoW generates ridiculous amount of money, way beyond the highest numbers I imagined when I first started doing it.

Around 4 minutes in you talk about the legality of these things and making it illegal. I strongly disagree that being and able to sell stuff you have worked for should be in any way restricted or made illegal. This should include in game items. We're already seeing a huge erosion of consumer rights and ownership. For example, music on itunes, game on platforms like steam, online movie sales on platforms like youtube etc, lack of physical media has basically killed our ability to own and resell this stuff. What we need in better incentive structures to prevent these things, though I recognize this is challenging.

No, that would not be OK. Not only because of EU law, but also because of the potential for abuse. Once you've installed malware on your computer what's to say that others won't follow in the security holes it leaves? Bots are very easy to detect purely serverside. ABK would just have to do it, but they have a vested interest not to.

Its not just Blizzard and WoW. It is happening in any competitive game even the truly free to play games like Teamfight Tactics. Real life economics are just so unstable at this moment that people turn to every opportunity at hand to make some cash on the side. And if they are good at it then it quickly becomes a better stay at home job without a manager breathing down your neck and mandatory corporate bullshit. This is the reality of the world we are live in.

Kinda bs stat, there are no player base left to do such numbers. Seems like a self promotion in style of "fake it, till you make it" If they make hundred of millions, offices in business centers, you could've search 1 photo of it during those "100 hours" you were making this video. No company besides publicly traded will share its financial stat.

it's really much much easier than you would expect, these ppl make money from some artificial nuissance blizzard decide to make, if let's say, tomorrow every random drop would be 10x the price in the vendor, these ppl would get a direct cut of 10x automatically (they don't create gold, they make it from vendors, then gdkp, then rmt, then gdkp, then rmt, but the 1st step is always vendoring) but blizzard can't do that because "uh suddenly players can pay the month with only 1 day grind", great, it would go from 1% of the players who can do that using the AH to... 10% using vendors? most players don't thing it's worth their time for that, while fucking a whole economy bigger than the game itself (isn't that nice? sad? dunno) would only move players "who need 10 days to farm gold for 1 token to need only 1 day", and dumbfucks who contribute to the gold gdkp inflation via rmt suddenly would pay much less $ for much less gold to buy the same item
