Great song Great voices. There is a story that back in the day the powers that be over the awards did not want them to be to close and did not want them to kiss on the show. They are great friends and no way would they let anyone say they could not do what they wanted to do. Amen. Love the power of their voices but also their great friendship

It gives so much insight into who she is and follows her journey. She narrates and is interviewed so you hear her perspective. She tells the story of how she met Aaron and this song came to be.

All the songs are great (the rest, Linda solos on - although she's backed by a choir in a couple of songs). Probably my favorite album of hers. "When Something is Wrong (with my baby)" was their other big hit.

Aaron Neville's voice is like wine...it gets better over time. He was 49 years old here. I'm so blessed to have grown up in New Orleans and see Aaron and the Neville Brothers frequently. Linda Ronstadt was simply fabulous also - and may God bless her as she deals with a debilitating medical condition. Thanks for reacting to this!!! - P.S. - They were a couple from 1989 to 1992, but to this day they remain very great friends and collaborators. Like you said, it sends chills down my body and makes me cry it's so damn beautiful.

"All My Life" and "When Something Is Wrong With My Baby" are a couple of other songs they do. Both worth checking out. "Fearless" is another excellent song done by the Neville Brothers, with Aaron singing the lead. One of my favorites!! And don't forget "Over You" (1960). Very Hot song!! Cheers!

They're not a couple -- they're just great friends. But it's a beautiful song. I actually prefer her duet with James Ingram, Somewhere Out There -- when that song was released, it took over the airwaves for months and I think it won the best Oscar for a movie soundtrack. Just an incredible song -- a lot more power and medley than this one has. (Like I say, I love this song -- but I like that one much better for what it shows of their ranges.) The Neville Brothers were amazing.

It sure is, saw him in 2018 again after many years and as I am sitting through the concert I said to myself why did I waited so long to see this legend again?! I observed him belting out those heavily notes and the facial expressions on his face, very interesting, he was amazing!!! Time went by and I had decided, his next time back in NY, I would go and make sure to see him again! Pandemic came and just recently learned unfortunately he will not be touring, he might do once in a while a pop up show, I just take joy in/ was blessed I had to at least see him, that time!

Love this song and your touching reaction to it. Please listen to their other duet "All My Life". It has such special meaning to me. I did not get married until I was 36 years old, my husband was 39. I was single, put myself through nursing school and working hard. I just thought perhaps I was not going to meet the right person, then met my husband. I chose this for our wedding song, because it felt like it was written for us. That was in 1994 and we are still going strong 27 years later!!

Funny but true story... I was in NYC on vacation about 5 years ago, and my friend and I went to Home Depot and my friend said.. "Look I think that guy over there is Aaron Neville?" and I inched closer and sure enough it was him. I wanted to say hello as I am a huge fan, but he was just trying to buy paint and I didn't want to be one of those pesky fans LOL. It was very cool nevertheless. I love both Aaron, and Linda so much! This was their performance at the Grammy awards when they won it for this song. During the acceptance speech, Aaron was so nervous that he forgot to thank his wife until Linda nudged him to remind him. It was very cute. They had another duet called “All My Life” that was just as beautiful. The record company was “uncomfortable” with their affection for each other, so Linda kissed him at the end just to stick it to them. I love both of them but particularly her spunk! 🌺✌️

Aaron Neville sang the jingle for a cotton commercial in the early 90s. I wanna say it was in 93 or 94 the first time I heard it. (Cotton, the fabric of our lives...) I was so mesmerized by his voice, I ran to the tv to turn up the volume and closed my eyes EVERY time!
