Such a great blending of voices. No alteration, just 2 people with natural talent unlike the crap we get now. I miss Linda and hope she is doing well now that she can no longer sing. She paired with many artists over the years and they are all worth hearing.

Aaron Neville is worth diving into as well. His voice is as you guys said unique, to say the least. Did you hurt yourself when you tried that pitch there at the end of the song BP2?😅 His song Everybody Plays The Fool would be a good start. As for the lovely Linda Ronstadt, her duet with James Ingram Somewhere Out There(from the movie An American Tail) would also be a great next step.

What makes this so cool is first she goes under him, she taking the lower harmony. The later chorus she goes high which adds to the drama and build. Then it finishes with her singing the lower harmony.

Never a couple; good friends who deeply respected one another's talent. He was not as widely known at this point and this hit was a major breakthrough for him. She deliberately toned down her part here to let him shine (compare with the recording) before a national audience. It made a difference and his career stepped up to another level. He and his brothers had always had a somewhat cult following and were widely admired within the musical community but this record with Linda provided the national exposure that kicked things into another gear.

Same thing I thought,there have been rumors, just knew there were great friends, until up to this date! On another note, you might think he was not widely know until this duet, but Aaron started long before this in the Soul / R&B era and I remember one of his hit “Tell it like it is” from 1967! He reached the top of the R&B billboard for 5 weeks and the billboard 100 chart #2! I whom live that era in South America and in Europe he was already well known.

Linda Ronstadt is a national treasure. No other artist has had so much success across across so many genres, including having thr top selling non English album in US history (still to this day). It is from late 80s, not 90s

One of the most beautiful duets. Both have fabulous voices. Also check out Linda's first big hit in 1967 "Different Drum" with The Stone Poneys. Other hits were "Hurt So Bad", "You're No Good", "Long Long Time", "Poor Poor Pitiful Me", "Desperado", "Tracks Of My Tears" etc.

Aaron and Linda were never a couple. They’re very good friends to this day. The record company was “uncomfortable” with their affection for each other, so Linda went out of her way to kiss him. 😂😂 They are both stunningly talented. 🌺✌️
