The interesting thing about the damage meters is that the best classes were obviously locks and hunters, who both benefit from the moonkin. If you added the damage increase from imp faerie fire (if hunters gear for 3% under hit cap), and the crit aura for the warlocks, and subtracted it from their dps, adding to the druid's, I think the moonkin becomes a top 3 damage dealer.

I mained a rogue from tbc to retail. Wanted to try something different and went Druid in Vanilla classic. Was playing feral all the way up until TBC came out and hit max level at 70. When i found out ferals arent reallh seeked out for raids, i switched boomy. Got accpeted into several raids and found a guild that made me a core member. Ended up gearing by 3 weeks(not much comp in gear as a boomy) and now excited for wrath as boomies can do insane damage if played right. Tldr: playing boomy allowed me to raid as a core member and nobody gives a fuck about my damage lol. Best class to gear up in raid gear.

Long fights spam sfarfire, short fights spam wrath and starfire on nature’s grace procs. Get a weak aura to put a giant icon if procs, you will get the buff before the spell lands

I know this guide is older but I just wanted to point out that the rotation listed @8:53 is wrong. You want to just keep Faerie Fire up and ONLY moonfire, then spam starfire. The only time that Insect Swarm should be used is if you need to move during a mechanic and/or fire on the ground AND moonfire is already up.

From my tests on the beta, purely dps wise, it's actually better to drop insect swarm from rotation on a target with curse of elements, if you get a single crit of starfire it will mess up ur 3xmoonfire plus 2 dot rotation leading you to reapply the 2 dots before the last tick, if you get 1 or more crits during starfire, moonfire rotation you will be better of casting a 4th starfire before reapply moonfire

Good to know, thanks for pointing it out, it was quite difficult to obtain good boomkin data. I did notice that Moonfire+Starfire was the predominant rotation used by top Pserver boomies but was unsure whether that was purely on the DPS side of things or the mana conservation side of things due to overtuned content.

I guess it comes down to the raid leader really. Boomies aren't brought for their dps, they are brought along for the buffs / debuffs they provide and insect swarm is part of that.

spirit also gives some spellpower due to improved divine spirit from disc priests, so its kinda okayish

THE whole idea of doing well as boomie in tbc is how Lucky you are with starfall crits and not getting Them om your moonfire. Dont torget that int grants spellcrit. Basicly for moonkin after hit your stats are spell dmg haste int. In bt its haste Then after a bit its int and crit. As Said above Nature swarm is dps loss in ssc and onwards but great spel for tank.

On TBC classic you will NOT be able to drop enchanting after you enchant your rings. It will now require you to have enchanting to benefit from the enchant
