I was bored and had 15 lvl 110 chars to sell all the bank stuff I had stored since playing this game back in vanilla, TSM is a god send. In BFA I'm only interested in making gold as a goal. Do you intend the series to end or will you add more parts, as and when you feel something comes up? I can see both sides of that, but perhaps the basics only go so far. At a certain point, things are going to start getting intermediate and perhaps form a new series. I've been using TSM for a while and, as far as TSM4 goes, I think most of us are beginners. It would serve the majority of people well - those who have not used this version of TSM (TSM4) - to work through this series. While some of us may have experience in these ideas in previous versions, an assumption of knowledge might lead to missing useful extras in this version. I've downloaded all of the episodes of this series so far and am going to sit down, fire up one of my auction characters and watch them all. I'd like to think I could jump right in, but I can see that you've been quite thorough and, whatever I may know, you've been using this a while and there's almost no substitute for experience. I look forward to gaining a few nuggets of info. What I can see already, that may take getting used to, is that it appears to replace the auction interface - rather than add tabs to it. I'd prefer tabs, because I still have moments where I want to buy one of an odd item and find Auctionator quite useful for that. While it's little trouble to switch between the interfaces, having things in tabs was a strength of TSM3. Who knows. By the time I get to the end of your series, that view might have changed. Onward. Thanks.

Thanks for your detailed reply, that's really good to know. My plan for this series is to cover the basics and then do more intermediate guides in the future. There is a lot of change with TSM4 and some things from 3 have not carried over while others are new and were not in before. Change certainly gets some getting used to! Now there's and oxymoron!

Hello wizard of tsm 4 samadan, Great vids my guy...I’d like to see you delve into the mailing operations a bit more. My plan is to (example) use tsm to shop for my mats, craft “x” amount of enchants, then mail them to my bank toon. Then if possible and while at the mail box, mail all the extra crap you collect from day to day stuff &things, to their rightful alt that holds professions I can then craft into other sellable items. I want to set up a network of alts with professions and mailing orders everywhere!!! Keep those vids coming, I’ll ask more questions as I come across more grey areas! Great video, can you show a way to add items in groups that you don't currently have? I would like to make a blanket group for my professions but don't want to craft all the unprofitable ones so I have them available to put in groups.

well this taught me some new things about TSM, as per. It didn't solve what I was trying to figure out about cancel scan. When I ran it, it flagged same price items as undercut with the same description as actual undercuts. While it'd be nice to know whether a stack was on top of mine or not, so I might want to cancel & post, that's less of priority.

When TSM does a cancel scan, it looks to see if someone has posted after you due to the Last in First out system. IF it finds one it will say you have been undercut.

It just makes it hard to ID actual price drops to decide to repost, buy out the stupid low, or wait for the market to rise again. The same price ones, it really depends on the stack size and sell ratio and a lot of times those items either sell anyways or didn't even sell for any1 that day, so I'd lose more coin both with the time spent looking into each item and the items that maybe would sell, wouldn't cover the multitudes that didn't. I guess what I need to make sure I have all slow sellers in a separate group or subgroup to scan more things separately. I'm a noob goblin, I can't afford to repost everything that frequently. Without undercut vs lower in stack, what would streamline this for me is having the data in additional column(s) the difference between my price and their price, stack size & stack position (& how fast they sell, but I'm ok with that being slower to access).

That makes sense and would be a good metric to use. I tend to split my enchants into 3 sub groups based on sale rate and only cancel the higher ones.

Yes, sadly they have moved the icon since I made this video. It is now one large Post button at the bottom. You can still do the same thing... Select the auction you want to go under, then press the post button.

Nice, easy to understand videos. I just subbed. I got two questions: 1. Is there an operation for manual posting? I'd like to change the default to 12hrs posting, instead of 24hrs. How to do that? 2. What if I got an item that I want to post manually and is not in the AH at all? Manual posting works fine if there is a "hammer", but what if there's no one at all and I don't want to make an oparation just for one item?

Thanks! Unfortunately manual posting is a little clunky without using the shopping. In those cases, I switch to the standard UI and post from there.

In general that is how best to control it as you can specify cancel conditions in the operations

No it should be there for everyone. Perhaps another addon is interfering with the interface? Try temporarily disabling the others to see if it is there or maybe resizing the window?

I see what you mean, very strange as there is no gap for it on the side. It won't appear if don't have any of those items to post, but even so, there should be an icon at the top. Perhaps post in the woweconomy discord server and see if anyone else has similar? - discord.gg/woweconomy

Hi Samadan ! Quick question: There are some default cancelling settings on the operations page. (e.g. Setting herbs operations for auctioning and there are ''Cancel undercut Auctions?'' automatically ''On'' as operations settings) So basically it cancels when I've got undercut and sends the items to my mailbox. Should I keep this on? I could not find any comments from you regarding to cancelling part of operations in the videos. Thanks in advance!

Yes, I keep this on by default. The only thing you might want to play with is the cancel to repost at a higher price setting.

I’m having quite the problem selling BoE gear on the AH. It always says my price source is invalid so I can’t post. I’ve tried changing it to a few different things but nothing seems to work. Any advice on how to set up boe items ? ( using classic wow tsm4 latest patch)

Strange, my first thought would be because the item has not been seen on the market. This should get less frequent now TSM is storing historical data. Does the item have a dbmarket value?

How do I post manually if there are no auctions up on that item already? If there are none up, it doesn't give me the option to click on hammers and I can't find any sort of ¨post¨-option.

If you don't want to make a group, then the other option is to use the default base group and post from there in the auctioning tab. I'd recommend making groups though as you will ultimately have much more control.

Very nice and instructive videos. I unfortunately can't manage to find the crucial information about total price of some auction in the Shopping section while in the AH. Say I want to buy some raw gems, I can properly see how many auctions and quantities, the bid value (per item) and buyout (per item). Is there a way to know as well the buyout value (per auction)? Anyway keep up the terrific work =)

If you right-click the word Buyout (item) while in the Shopping tab, it swiches to Buyout (stack) Right-clicking again returns it to per item. Is that what you were looking for?

I have not used the scroll wheel macro before and I tried to set it up as you did in the first part of this series but I dont think I am having any luck. It should be just holding the CTRL button and scrolling with your mouse wheel right?

Yes, that's correct. I have heard of others having difficulty getting it set up. Sometimes it needs a few repeat setups and reloads before it works for some people.

You can run a cancel scan on your base group if you have a #default operation or simply use the scroll wheel to quickly cancel all auctions that are about to expire.

It could be that you don't have that item. The best way for more control is to make your own groups rather than using the shopping tab to post.

I have noticed that since installing TSM, I have a lot of issues with lag when opening certain windows, like crafting, bank, auction house. basically anything with a TSM window. Is there any way to improve my performance? It also causes a significant amount of crashes where I need to reload UI

Yes, if you delete your cache folder before starting each Wow session, it seems to help with that kind of lag.

Hello Samadan! I have a question. When I run cancel scan, It needs to be done several times to clear all. Like when I have undercut someone on an item several times before doing a cancel scan, it only cancels the first one undercut, then I have to run it again for the rest, is there anyway to cancel everything that has been undercut in one scan? I'm so happy for your sub, appreciate it! The pastebins will work on all realms but your market may be a little different, check the min max prices in your tooltip for items to make sure you are comfortable with the price range. And yes, tsm will understand you have mats on alts.

Usually I use the scroll wheel macro to cancel from the auction tab. It's much quicker that way.

How to change the undercut value from 1c ? the auctioning undercut doesnt affect manual posting.

SamadanPlaysWoW Thanks for that link it helps. I have played wow forever it seems and i have never had much gold. I started watching your vids and i am trying to put it into action. I hate always being broke lol. I play on Bladed Edge US and i was able to to get 100k to work with i have not changed any settings or made any groups in TSM and as of right now i have 220k and over 800k in AH well that is if it all sales. Lol. Any extra pointers you could give me or is there anyway i could get a link of the groups you use for enchanting mat and tailoring mats. That's the professions i have. If I want to sell for example flower, or any alchemy items everything is ok, but if i want to sell for example green armor info tsm is: ''posting at normal price''.... I don't want to post at normal price i want to undercut.

TSM will post at normal price if there are no other items of that type on. In the case of transmog, check whether you have ignore random enchants checked.
