I had the impression, that I do feel your melancholy and inner peace at the same time at the end of the first movie. When I started to watching this one, it came to my mind, that you've got to love nature. After "rainbow rainbow, rainbow 🌈 🌈 🌈!" I am 10 000%sure you're in a Great Love with our Mother Nature. Thank you so much for being you, for your love, and for sharing your passion with us. Bless you! 💙💜💕💛

I'm a little embarrassed to admit that the first two episodes have moved me to tears! So much to admire about this project - the quality of the filming and editing, the stunning images produced, the daily effort involved in capturing the landscape at sunrise and sunset; but most of all the celebration of the beauty of our isles. Perfection - we live in a stunning part of the world and so easily forgotten. Thanks for reminding us all, Nigel! 👏👏👏

There is a lot to contemplate from this series beyond just the camera technique. The importance of having a project, having an end product in mind, taking time to understand a location, spontaneity trumping planning, embracing all weather conditions, care of equipment, simply enjoying the environment ...

I was waiting with baited breath for part 2 - and wasn't disappointed. Even set time aside to watch in one go. Absolutely stunning production - and on your own too! Your dedication and enthusiasm are commendable Nigel. Also love the moments of "indecision" as it reminds me to remain focused out in the field. Already looking forward to next week. Thank you so much for taking us on this incredible journey.

I not only admire your work but also your commitment to this project Nigel. Trips have their highs and lows but your determination to get out in all conditions is a credit to you and through your work we can all sense the conditions up there. I love the fact that you felt you needed rest but then like a true photographer you stay up all night to catch the aurora, you can always sleep later. Can’t wait for next week’s episode.

As far as im concerned, seascape photography is the gift that keeps giving. I live near the sea in the south of England and spend hours either with or without my camera, gazing out to sea. Im an ex Royal Navy man so the sea is in my dna and soul. The beach in your video looks heavenly and you have definitely done it justice. The great thing is that i can tell just how privileged you know that you are to be doing this for a living.👍

Perfect Sunday night viewing - sitting down with my glass of wine and watching Nigel produce some of the best landscape photography I have seen. Your enthusiasm is infectious - you are the child who has just discovered they own the sweet shop, at the same time as being the teacher I wish I had had when I was young. I come away from this feeling that if I was lucky enough to follow your footsteps across Luskentyre that I might be able to take a photograph approaching the quality of yours. That’s inspiration and produced in the face of back pain which I think most of us would find debilitating - thank you. It just doesn’t get better than this was a recurring theme from part one, but of course it does here with the pictures of the aurora. Stunning colours in the sky with the stars reflected in the water - amazing.

Green, purple and red with envy Nigel, as if 30 days on your own, on such a beautiful beach wasn’t enough, to cap it with one of the best ever Aurora shows in the UK you are a very lucky guy. I have been to Orkney on 5 occasions and only ever seen a faint green tinge. Fabulous production by yourself and incredible photography. Roll on next weeks episode 👌👍

That video flyby at 20:23 was really cool, the way the light beams and the darker rain clouds / bands that seemed to be right over your head were hanging lower than the rest of the cloud base, and the golden light from the setting sun, that makes an impressive shot if the waves are breaking just right.

I've been waiting all week for today's email with this link - I thought last week's instalment was stunning - this week's - it's your generosity Nigel with the process, your infectious joy, your disappointments, the decisions you make on the fly & how you overcome this with working through issues - all the time just trusting your instinct, the tools of your trade & your vision. This week's is breathtaking - that light, those clouds, the dramatic weather changes. I'm not a landscape photographer - but you've inspired me to give it a try, to slow down, to be more patient, and to just enjoy and see what the outcomes may be. Thank you - simply 'thank YOU!'

The Aurora is always a gorgeous and spectacular sight. Years ago, when I lived in Alaska, the Lights weren't to the north as usual but were directly overhead.
