I appreciate this series. I am building a C24-1KM but struggling with a lack of instructions. I didn't know about the steering so I inadvertently over tightened the plastic end pieces and one came through into the ring. I don't think the thread has gone though. I also did not know about the 100mm length. Nor did I know you had to really press the brass ball into the ring. I will give all of this a go. You mentioned adjusting the steering. I am puzzling what were the symptoms and how did you adjust it? I have the same problem with the cutting out so now I know it is wrong and that sound is why the capacitors are needed. I is a great pity I searched for C24 builds only, thinking other WPL types would be different. Perhaps you could add a note for the confused like me the says a lot applies to other types. How nice it was to hear a fellow Brit taking it steady, telling it like it is - no self aggrandizing, no crappy music either. So many, many thanks from a grateful new subscriber. You have probably saved my bacon.

Many thanks for the comments! I've actually got a similar build for the C24-1 on video but I haven't got round to editing it or doing the into-exit segment yet. I can't remember now what steering issue I was seeing, it may just have been lengths of the rods or more likely positioning of the servo horn or servo horn pivot placement to get the correct throw.

Well I screwed my steering since the lower ball of the servo link won't stay in. I bodged a fix. I ran out of shorter machine screws so hacksawed one down. What fun eh? The offset servo arm means the wheel angles are different on left and right turns; left turn is sharper/tighter but hey ho it's a crawler so I doubt it matters. The servo arm link length needed adjustment by eye so the balls were in place. At least the adjustment was simple by screwing in and out of the socket ends.

Was that the gas motor or diesel motor sound?

Hi Martin, that is the gas (petrol) sound on that one. The diesel sound is programmed with the sound of air brakes being applied on deceleration so is better suited to the B series trucks.

@smallscaleadventures Thank you for your fast reply and helpful video. The first video I watched about this V3 system I thought you could change from Gas or diesel sound but I guess the diesel sound if a different circuit board that wpl has. ?
