WPL Winch on C34KM and RBR/C winch on B36KM comparison.

These two winches are not bad in my opinion. The metal RBR/C one looks good but needs fine tuning when assembling. The WPL winch was a little more straight forward on assembly and worked better without tinkering needed. For the price of these things they are ok. I say the WPL is going to have to be my recommendation. But if you like the look of the RBR/C winch then you can tinker with it to get it to work right. Once you get it right it's not too bad. Hope this helped some people decide which one they prefer.

RBR/C winch is absolute crap. WPL winch is much better, but can easily only be mounted on WPL C34 and C44 bumper mount. WPL winch is much stronger (and slower - what you want).

RBR/C winch isn't that bad. Ofcourse I only recommend it to people who really want the metal stuff and can deal with its quirks. The wpl winch is definitely better but I still don't mind the RBR/C winch. They are so cheap that you really can't complain when they need to be assembled a certain way. When you buy these kind of products you are kind of expecting something will go or be wrong. Tinkerers like the challenge so they go ahead and get it anyways. The mythbusters proved that you can polish a turd.

I using a small plastic washer on the winch ,. It helps with no binding on the winch cable.,

not directly. It does have to be fitted somehow on there. I haven't done it so I can't help unfortunately. I'm sure you can though if your willing to cut and trim and move electronics around.

I'm using full WPL electronics. In this video I'm using the V2 esc receiver combo on the C34KM and v3 esc receiver combo on the B36KM

so here's a question that may have been asked before.... which one would you use on an mn86? i'm rebuilding my mn86sb from the ground up and i want a winch but 1/10 winches seem too big to fit on the tray/bull bar that comes with it. i use a dumborc x6 rx/tx. is that something you would be willing to make a video about?

I would use the WPL one and use a winch controller or the WPL V3 esc receiver works well too of you dont mind the tiny tx.

I think the answer is the WPL winch. Looks like you will need to fab a mount for the RBR/C winch to work.
