I have it to but I have lived a good life so far . Started out a tall thin kid with a hunch back that got made fun of . Started weight training became a personal trainer fought mma do tree work and am a certified arborist and small business owner. I'm not 100% normal looking but I have built my body into being stronger and somewhat normal looking with my shirt on . And the working out also helped with some of the depression. Hope this comment will help someone keep from giving up stay in the fight and remember to be grateful for what you do have for me my body isn't like most but it mostly works so I am thankful for that.

My cousin died early due to heart problems caused by Marfan. I saw a geneticist & I am somewhat “on the spectrum” of it. I have knee dislocations & had retinal detachment, tons of arthritis (an assortment). The fun part is that every day is different lol

I have Marfan. Was ‘clinically’ diagnosed 2004 and now Genetically. There’s a general looks as is described by the video, but this condition is tricky, because it varies in so many ways, some aren’t, tall or have long fingers. Some don’t have a heart condition either, as it’s said, about 10% don’t have heart problems. In such cases, most can’t be diagnosed clinically only genetically. I fall in the tall typical looks, but I have relatives who have Marfan as well and are not. They say, though having at least one of the major Marfan problems and some of the minor problems, it’s easier to diagnose clinically. I have family members who have no major or minor problems, so to speak. Yet her children have Marfan and knowing it doesn’t skip generations, we know that she has it, even without obvious signs. Meaning, it can’t skip from grandmother to granddaughter. The mother has to have. But you can have this condition, mild moderate to severe. I fall the moderate but severe overall skeletal problems Pain is our daily problem. Very common among us.

@@MH-hw4uh I have pectus excavatum , it’s like my whole rib cage is shifted a teensy bit. I don’t think I have heart problems. I just don’t have the most stamina when running or doing endurance activities. I have very healthy limbs for a 7 footer. I can land a front flip on a trampoline, and I’m pretty fast. I’m light on my feet, and have never broken or fractured a bone in my life. One side of the chest goes in, and one side is normal. I have overpronated ankles as well (flat feet)

How to get a diagnosis
@q3r3v310 ай бұрын
@Creoles.nature depending on where you live, you need to go to a specialist (orthopedic, cardiac, etc.) and tell them that you suspect you might have Marfan syndrome because you have multiple symptoms of this disorder. Eventually, the doc might send you to a special clinic that analyzes your blood to see whether you have it or not

I just have long arms and large hands. It could be a syndrome or just genetics. I can't really tell. No heart issues and no signs of slenderness. It it part of the family doctors job to monitor these things in one's yearly health checkups?

No-one with Marfan Syndrome should get married, it is a death sentence. Be careful babies, you are stronger than you could ever imagine, look after your hearts and protect them. I know you, I know your suffering and I know why. Self love❤ is all you need and I will love all of you always because you all take on so much, I feel it. I have Marfan syndrome, I am 34 years old and I have overcome my disability and I'm only getting stronger and I believe you all have the power to do the same. Increase your energy, be fearless, be strong. You are loved more than you know. Whatever happens you are protected and you will learn in time how powerful you really are. Understanding duality is essential, we have both light and dark aspects of our subconscious and our thoughts change the world. Be the change you want to see. Be the miracle❤

I am very much like you right now I’m 110% certain I have this I’m 32 and have never brought it up at the doctors, I’ve been worrying that I have flat feet lately and I out of knowhere came across ‘Marfan syndrome’ earlier on a reel and i pretty much tick every other box I have a very noticeable chest that intrudes in and long arms, long legs and flat feet and low stamina when it comes to sports although I was very athletic but very limited with my breathing capability from young i had no idea all these things were linked although I didn’tlinked before 😯 shocked tonight after my findings, can anyone offer me some quick advise please 🙏
@nickrutherford50 Жыл бұрын
@Rhys Davis go see a doctor asap. Tell them to order a echo of your heart. I am 36 and suspected I had Marfans a couple years ago. I just had an echo done last week and they are sending me for surgery on my aorta within the next couple weeks. I have 2 aneurysms of my aortic root and ascending aorta. I feel fine, except my heart beats fast. 80-90 bpm.
