Commercial airlines fly at an elevation of 30,000 to 42,000 feet. It is highly recommended to use oxygen when above 10,000 feet for moderate lengths of time or above. Every now and then a dead body falls out of a plane on the approach to London Heathrow. No surprise that these are always flight from an African or Caribbean country where there is no airport security. They usually freeze or are crushed but the oddest thing is that at least one was probably alive when they fell to their death and there is at least one that survived and was seen running fro the plane. He was never caught so we don't know how he did it. Best guess is that the cold suppressed his metabolism and he survived the low oxygen but getting that cooling and re-warming right is just chance. @wzDH106Күн бұрын
Cheap? No, Nothing in aviation is cheap. That would require a dedicated aviation supplier + modification certification + installation + associated inspections. Swiss Air lost many lives from a suspected post production (aftermarket) inflight entertainment system fire. Any electrical modification is taken very seriously.
@Paul-w9r1rКүн бұрын
@@wzDH106 yes, aware of that tragedy; that was (basically) due to a (current hungry) malfunctioning "vcr" system, many yrs ago. Fitting to a digital flight deck, it's a point to point set-up (current requirements in mA's). Should be some spare input ports available via the monitor display as they're used to toggle through many info parameters/ sensor inputs. Should be ok to do on an analogue f/deck, also. Cameras and an added dedicated display. Cheap in relative terms, compared to the aircraft being compromised, and having ongoing security costs, even then not 100% secure. Whereas, as long as the flight crew utilises cameras and monitor, 100% secure. Just an idea. Should be implementable, not too dissimilar to the exterior inflight cameras already in use.

@@Paul-w9r1r Interesting, well the WB Airbus (and Boeing) models can display video for taxiway situational awareness using the original EFIS setup. Catching a free ride in the landing gear housing of a high flying jet is a bad idea . Lack of oxygen and cold temperatures at high altitude will kill you. You'll arrive dead .

Just glossing over the facts that having a bottle opener by accident could be considered a felony weapon but there's apparently 0 security or surveillance of unskilled random civilians wandering onto the airport runway casually. Isn't that a severe security lapse? We're playing all these games to cause problems and then you don't even solve the basic easiest part of securing the area around the runway while you throw your hands up and start screaming at the paying customers who are mostly there because the people and companies putting this in place are trying to scam the public left and right. It's so scammy that now there's a pre-pay option that lets you skip the security check. You get these do nothing burdens of society just like insurance companies who sit around, do nothing, collect money at the customer's expense, and just straight up don't do the things they're legally required to do and they're immune from all criticism, regulations, and improvements.

You really need to look at the aircraft in question. A 757 is different to an Airbus A320 series. An Embraer 190 is different again. There is no space in the left wheel well but there is in the right. The big question, is where did the idiots get in? That place has poor security.

How the hell does an "Aviation Attorney" have the expertise to answer the technical questions of oxygen deprivation at altitude, and the other effects on the human body ? He is just a lawyer ! Not even a pilot, let alone a physician or mountaineer.
@5695qКүн бұрын
Most likely a licensed pilot. Do you even know the guy, let alone what qualifications he has. I can imagine that he has read case studies and maybe handled cases dealing with the various scenarios that can pop up in aviation law.

@@5695q Well it just had him cited as an "Aviation Attorney". So poorly communicated. It is a little farcical to have an attorney be a consulted expert for this. Of course, if he was a fighter pilot, then I apologize.
@БранимирМилошевићКүн бұрын
@@forestyogin2218 they probably wouldn't have someone become an aviation attorney without a lot of direct knowledge and experience... it's not like Saul Goodman is just like "Oh, I like the planes" and it happens.
@forestyogin2218Күн бұрын
@@БранимирМилошевић "Probably wouldn't have . . ." . They probably would ! Probably meaning likely. You are talking about lawyers, 95% became lawyers to make money and power, not for justice. "How will this get me a Porsche" is a common cultural aspect of any Law School life. The legal system is quite weak on sanity. And I accept that. But if you expect sanity where there is none, then you will lose your own sanity.

News is subpar these days. It was an A320 series, not a Boeing 757. And the doors were closed on the ground. A simple picture would have been sufficient instead of cherry picking for clicks.

Bombs could be easily planted, also disgruntled/wacked employees could plant a bomb, security is very poor in some places. I wonder how many people have fallen out of wheel wells and know one ever noticing or how often are foreign objects found in wheel wells and never properly reported or cataloged. I believe those who stow away in wheel wells are particularly ignorant of the conditions at 35 plus thousand feet altitude 😳 think about climbing one the tallest mountains and adding 10 to 15 thousand feet to that, you will pass out first then you will freeze like meat in your freezer, no crockpot will help you then 🤣
