Naturally the GST and its increase to 9 per cent does cause inflation to inflate further. The little measures to help the poor are deemed insufficient.

The GST will have a permanent impact on consumers regardless of whether it is this year or next or any year so long as the GST is in place.

The govt will never consider any alternatives. They will only push through unjustifiable policies just to benefit themselves. When have the pap think of local citizens? Never. Every single policies is designed to let govt and foreigners benefit at the expense of local citizens. And that's the behaviour of a B a s t a r d govt. Making SG so densely populated where govt benefit and local citizens are paying the bill of their meal.

Workers are overworked and exploited to the max and PAP still want them to fork out time to train. PAP really loss the reality. Workers has no time to take extra off for parents and children matters and bosses will not lose money and work time to let workers train. Wake up.

The Mighty Leader DPM alluded that the *gst hike does lead to price increases* but this increase is not permanent?? Did my A.I processed incorrectly? Misunderstood him? How can hawker foods that jacked up many many times above the 1% hike not be permanent? Will these jacked up daily necessities prices drop if its not permanent? Can someone just clarify for me or just shoot me?🎉 If not clarified i may be forced to vote WP for the first time in my life as a PAP loyalist in terms of voting?🤭🏳️🏳️🏳️

Singaporeans by and large are disagreeable to the increased GST and lower income groups too are disagreeable to not using more than 50 per cent of returns derived from reserves The opposition members which represent them would certainly be likewise. In times when cost of living is critically high and where returns from reserves are gigantic so much so that it amounts to over provision for future generations if not purposefully used to ameliorate the bad situations currently prevailing.

PAP has no permanent solution to long term problem like high inflation and high interest rate. The little budget money cannot help high inflation from housing, car coe, food,etc. People and businesses are dying from high cost.

Why cant change? When LKY was prime minister the principle is different compared to today. So whats the argument? They said to provide more data than be transparent abt the data and information. Yea increase quota on construction, look at how many Malaysia have Work permits under construction sector. I dun see them at work site pulling cement.

why increase gst which dpm said will and did add to inflation then use government funds(which is our tax payers’ money)to give out assurance package?this is giving businesses excuses to hike prices! and then use our taxpayers’ money to cover that!no powerbrain in the house question this folly or is it a case of toeing the line, don’t rock the boat? i think this is why sometimes people ask if our government is disinclined to admit mistakes and is fixated on dismissing oppositions’ alternative even though sound; politics over good governance ? appears so to me

We no need that " extra " c p f interest just return our local breed Singaporean whole-life hard-earned stressed n sweat c p f money sooner we are not asking for social welfare that are all our own money we worked for it no thanks for " helping " local breed to so-called safeguard our money, we know how to take care our own money. Those c p f interest will take decades if not generations to smell it not to mention for " extra " income we need .if can't return sooner then don't force us to contribute. To use 20 billions dollars to buy fighter planes will be a wrong use of funds ...the enemies of Singapore are imaginary...there is none if Singapore becomes less arrogance...Malaysia and Indonesia can become good friends if Singapore will show the way to accommodate....THE IRON DOME CANNOT SAVE Israel....what more for Singapore having a few planes ...cooperation and understanding are the ways to peace. Money will be better spent on naval boats to tackle pirates and smugglers and to keep the raayat happy against the terrorist cells. Lawrence Wong must lead the way to be on the side of history ...Asia is the centre of growth and be a good Asian nation is better . Cannot has a defence minister showing arrogance in talking to an Asian superpower military leader ..humility and grace be the order of the day . Cannot also not to have morality in the context of the naked truth shown by Western powers of their hypocrisy and evilness... must be able to show righteous in the eyes of its raayat... not opportunistic decisions or actions. Let the new leaders lead the way for a better Singapore
