He didn't do anything if he fired off shots at Trump, yes it would be attempted murder. Yes he planned it. Yes, he was set up for it, but that isn't enough, unfortunately. Being charged with attempted murder requires an attempt on somes life. No shots = no attempt. He could at most be charged with conspiracy to commit murder, although it looks like he didn't. I hope this helps, by all means double check me, and these are my opinions on my understanding of Florida law. Results may vary. 😄
