(WR) All Mario Kart Tracks in

Well, I messed up big time by not having chat replay on stream. Sorry to the KZbin watchers, that was an oversight. A lot of my comments were directed toward them but once the run started, I couldn't stop. If you want to watch with chat reactions, the VOD can be found here: / 2015661979
So this was one of my big projects of the year, and I'm happy to say the goal was achieved. I play every MK game somewhat regularly and have even made it part of my brand as a MK content guy, so I felt that it would be good for me to try this as someone who could be above average at just every game. That being said, there was a lot of room for improvement in every game, but that's to be expected in an 11 hour run. The BCP added so much more to this category! I felt absolutely fatigued by the end. Shoutout to the 50-60 viewers I had for so much of this run!

I want to highlight a few races in particular that were notable/funny to me!
Sky Garden - Insanely good RNG
DK Mountain - Shock and Blue dodge within 10 seconds
Luigi Circuit (MKWii) - Dodging shock less than a minute into the Wii run
Dry Dry Ruins - not embarrassing myself!
N64 Luigi Raceway / GBA Bowser Castle 1 - almost losing the Shell cup
Wii Maple Treeway - calling the star
Dragon Driftway - the "plan"
Tour London Loop - Bowser does the hold A strat
Tour Berlin Byways - the lowlight of the run

This is the second run attempted on this category. The first used some different rulesets, such as strategic items on for MKWii, 200cc on 8D, 100cc on SMK, etc. I wanted to beat that time and was able to do that, and as such, for any potential future runners, I want to establish the following standards for the category, to maintain consistency for every game.
- 150cc Only
- Standard Items for Each Game
- No Skips (by players page definitions)
- Rulesets must be shown for games using VS Mode
- Resetting games are allowed between GPs
In my mind since 8U / 8D have the exact same courses, players may use 8U if they wish to do so for the original 48 courses (hence why I've named the category is called All Mario Kart Tracks).
I believe someone could sub 10 hours on this with the right mix of talent and dedication. Do I think that'll happen? Probably not. It is rare to see someone be top level at 2 MK games, let alone 8. But who knows!
Regardless of these new rules I am proposing, shoutout to ‪@Jcool114‬ for motivating me to try this!

It's all fun in games until you get to the level where you have to do the gap shroomless twice with Dry Bomber just to improve. No cut is kinda fire though.

I'm curious, how did you do this setup? Like I imagine for mario kart wii and double dash you probably played on a wii, I noticed SMK was on switch, was mario kart 6 on emulator?

SMK - Switch 64 - Wii U, Wii VC SC - Switch DD - original gamecube DS - 3ds w/ cap card installed Wii - original Wii 3DS - same as DS 8 - Switch I started the run with SMK, MK64, and MKDD all set up and ready to go. Every other game could be set up during the down time of the previous game's runs (handheld -> console pattern helps with that a lot). I messed up a little bit on MKWii because my elgato crashed during DS (which doesnt use the elgato but its own cap card). MK64 I purely used Wii U for over Switch to save time on the game transition.

SMK is actually a major barrier to entry, cannot lie lol. Especially on 150cc. I had to reset after like 8 tracks on my first attempt due to ranking out.

@@snibunna7 It's still base level stuff, imo. Top shelf tactics such as DD A-tech, or PRB in DS is a bit too much for me, especially when constantly transitioning games. But yeah, I do think it's important to at least get to the level on this run where there is significantly more than base level knowledge for every single game, even if I don't have a deep understanding of every single game's mechanics.
