I had a back up that I carried everyday, for 8 years, when I was in law enforcement. I just recently lost it and was devastated but I ordered the new one and although it's not nostalgic I like it and carry it every day. What I've always done is when I pull the CR123 out of my weapon lights every year I keep them and use them in my back up. When my edc includes bang tools I carry a 2 cell surefire and my back up so it's not my main fighting light though it can be pressed into that if need be.

hey Cody, east coast guy that you made honorary west coast guy during your live stream a while back haha .Speaking of flashlights and like you said "what they used to be", I personally have always carried a mini Maglite. 2 AA cells and a Zenon bulb. While many new led flashlights are brighter and last longer, and even Maglite makes small bright LEDs now, and many new flashlights I have tried, I always find myself going back to the old dim Zenon bulb. Simply because all my LEDs will stop working after a while. Not due to abuse either. Over time they just don't work because there is a circuity board in there. From Surefire to Olight its the same story. But my Maglite has never once failed me. I suppose its like you and your love for old tools as although there may be newer and better stuff out there, the old school stuff will never fail. I've gotten to the point where id much rather carry a dim flashlight that east through batteries but will never fail than have the brightest flashlight and it wont work in a year or two. Plus Maglite's just give me "the fizz". Never knew what you meant by that till I found my old lost Maglite that was still working hahahah. anyways, what's your opinion on Maglite and do they have a place still. I'm guessing you have carried Maglite at some point. Much love from NY, the worst state.

I've been carrying a Mini Griptilian on and off for 20 years, mostly on. I have other knives, including a Para 3 and recently a 945, I thought the 940 would just be a bit too long for my taste. The 945 is basically the same length as the Mini Griptilian except it's not as tall from the opening for the blade to the spine. I find it a little difficult to manipulate. I'm trying to love it but keep wanting to go back to carrying my Mini Griptilian. My EDC flashlight for close to 10 years now has been a $20 Lumintop Tool AAA, the modes are high, medium and low with medium being the default. Batteries last forever, so long that I use Energizer lithium batteries so I don't have to worry about them corroding.

@jacobradden2 жыл бұрын
I find it peculiar that he has never brought any attention to his explorer. Or, I guess I don't really find it peculiar. As I assume he doesn't believe the Rolex name (and price) aligns well with how his demographic perceives him, nor how he portrays himself. I can make an assumption that he made the conscious decision to break out the "tough" "working man's" seiko tuna to continue his online persona. However, his explorer is in 90% of videos. I have seen another Rolex as well, once. He has earned his wealth and shouldn't be ashamed of it. However, I have a hard time wearing my expensive watches around my friends as well.
