This movie actually makes perfect sense if you assume that everything that happens after the bag of drugs explodes inside Scarlett Johansson's stomach is her hallucinating as she ODs.

I feel this movie would have made much more sense and would have even made for a better movie if that was the case. Throw in some existential dread that asks important questions. Maybe the omniscience she feels as she gets "more smart" could be her slipping back into the universe as she's dying. This movie probably would have done much better if it was a psychological thriller with better writing.

FlambeNobunaga Oh yes of course, judgement is great towards other people's life pursuits. This is the kind of degree people go for when they want to do either research (a lot of which kicks this movie's logic in the balls with as a matter of fact) or they genuinely want to help troubled people. So advancing knowledge and being helpful to others, screw those who want to do either, right?
@Hecatonchires8 жыл бұрын
As a neuroscience major, when this movie came out pretty much everyone I knew came to tell me about it with a huge shit-eating grin expecting me to tear it apart in a fit of brain nerd fury. I'd just sigh and tell them yes, the 10% brain thing is a myth, yes the movie is conceptually retarded, no I don't feel like expending any more effort on the matter.

There's actually a really good movie about a girl who, through becoming so smart she surpassed the 10% limit of human cognition, gained near supernatural powers. It's called Matilda.

+sephiroth Cross Unfortunately it's just a matter of Productivity. Content like this can't be just shat out like a let's player can, there's so many phases of production process like Research, Writing, Editing, Re-Drafting 2 or 3 times, not to mention the animator 'BlabberDookie' basically drawing the provided commentary still frame by still frame. It's a whole lotta work for just 2 people, if you know what im saying.

No you don't understand the movie is clever because you can fit all of the knowledge in the universe on a 8 gigabyte flash drive. Literally all knowledge is available to man because Morgan Freeman, who is God, is now second to a Scarlett Johannson who is a flash drive and she is also everything. Because she exploded on a plane because she did drugs. And changed her hair colour because she did drugs. And became a flash drive. Because she did drugs. Or maybe the movie is actually really smart because it's a hallucination of a Scarlett Johannson who is on drugs.
