This plane crash occurred on September 30, 1966 at around 9:15PM above the north slope of the Pallet Mountain ridge in the San Gabriels, Southern California. It was a USAF training flight which was operating at night during a stormy weather conditions. The C-119 Flying Boxcar hit the slope at around 7,987 ft killing all four crew. They departed from March Air Force Base in Riverside. Now after more than 57 years, the mangled debris and aircraft parts are scattered on both sides of the ridge slopes.

S/Sgt. Roger DuCharime
The opening video was a fictional re-enactment of the time before impact including the radio call.
