@itsnotthatdeep66573 ай бұрын
That's because all these platforms use a stupid AI to review that kind of stuff and the AI doesn't know what SA stands for. And they can't teach it what it stands for because then it'll flag comments that use SA in a context like, "I'm still recovering from SA" or "They were accused of SA" or anything like that. That's the issue with using AI instead of paying real people to sit there and review that kind of stuff. AI can't understand context and as such will either under or over correct/censor things. This isn't a defense. I think it's ridiculous we're in 2024 and we still for some reason don't advocate for just hiring real people to review that stuff but that's the reality of why unhinged crap like that is allowed to just stay on the platform. Companies don't want to pay for more employees and the few people who are there are too lazy to ever actually look into those reports.
@music2012pink3 ай бұрын
Apparently there are people in poor countries that are training AI, and people who would love to review messages like that, as they are also reviewing traumatic videos put online to properly flag each issue, either locals or moved there for the job. There's one person who saw a video of her granddad in America who was in a car crash and they told her to finish her shift before taking time off, so had to watch him being killed over a over again because it was filmed and uploaded from multiple angles. @pollysshore25398 ай бұрын
I think saying no pic of a child online is innocent is a bit much. All things in perspective. I do think this is a highly problematic and suspicious account. I also think the overwhelming majority of increased shares and bookmarks on the most questionable TikTok’s are due to thousands of people saving it and sharing it with others because they think it is disturbing and want a second opinion or want to forward it to authorities. The majority of people weirding out over kids - teens eating something “phallic” tend to be religious fundamentalists with their brains in the gutter. That why there have been recent examples of teens being suspended from public high schools for sharing a pic of their friends enjoying a popsicle at a county fair. The principal responsible for the suspension is usually a fundie that thinks everything is perverse. Point - If you think the majority of people are predators your perspective is skewed. Neglect is the most common form of CA followed by PA and the CSA/exploitation. The fact remains that the majority of crimes against women and children take place at the hands of someone they know. Not strangers. This does pose more questions about the mom in this situation. (Ruby Frankes kids most certainly were not being abused by online predators and people keeping an eye out online most certainly contacted authorities.) Predators could see your child in real life. Should they never be allowed out? Again, all things in perspective. You have to be aware of issues but not consumed by them to a detrimental degree. I find it depressing when I hear parents say they cannot trust anyone they know, they cannot post any pics of their kids online and they cannot let their kids out to play due to fear and skewed perspectives. Stranger danger was a well intentioned but misguided phenomenon that came with many problems. You can be responsible and aware of potential problems with online predation without completely shutting down.

Yet a few years ago, she was like "I wonder how that person knew I was in town?" "Mom...you're letting your social media app track and display your location. Here, I'll disable it for you." *And* these days she'll post on FB things like "at (insert a medical specialist I need to go to) with (my name)" and it'll share the exact location. Mama...what the F? At least she's not constantly filming and posting about me, but she frequently shares the locations of places I go. She posts a lot about my nephews, but usually it's just pictures, little videos of them goofing around while eating, unwrapping presents, doing easter egg hunts and typing funny things they said to her. I’m so glad Chris Hanson spoke on her. Maybe it finally got enough attention. She’s putting that child in adult situations that will also have adult consequences. A four year old has no concept of what 17 million even is. She can probably only count to 10 at this point. This isn’t just child exploitation but child endangerment and neglect. People are unhinged and lack boundaries so it wouldn’t surprise me if she had a stalker or two. If they are ballsy enough to say the vile disgusting things they do on an open platform, they won’t hesitate to find you either. She’s not doing the single most important thing as a parent. And that is, she’s not PROTECTING her child. She’s willing to put her child in harms way for money. Maybe she should make HERSELF an OF and exploit her own body if the money is so important. She can consent, the child can’t. I’m a mother of a 19 son and 17 daughter. I see grown men staring at my daughter. Even when she’s in baggy sweats and hoodie. There’s been an old man who videoed and took photos of my daughter and her best friend. They reported it to the rink owner and he refused to do anything. Said the man is allowed to bc it’s a public establishment. That scares the hell out of me as a mother. Grown men walk right up to her and start talking to her with me standing right next to her in a store. She will tell them to leave her alone and they call her nasty names. I was threatened after I told them to eff off and she is a minor. She’s been followed through the mall. A 22 yr old got her snap from someone at the rink and he proceeded to try and sneak out at 1am to the local park. She woke me up immediately and showed me. Guess who showed up at the park, me and a police officer. This is a dangerous society. Parents need to protect them. Not hand them right to the wolves.

Saw a police body cam of this mentally unwell guy that was on the street of this 9ish year old girl he was stalking. She had posted some basic things on youtube for a while on her own and he became obsessed. Her parents took her offline when they realized the danger, but this man still managed to find where she lived and go there. That's without a parent orchestrating her channel for maximum views and with the parents eventually doing the right thing. Her channel also didn't have weird stuff that would blatantly appeal to predators (of course predators can latch onto even innocuous videos of kids). I wouldn't be surprised if there's already stalkers of this kid that just haven't done anything in person so far. But the longer it goes on, the more vulnerable she is :(

Obviously the comments speaking to Wren being at an elevated risk of assault, kidnapping, etc. from strangers are very true, but something I’m not seeing anyone talk about is what’s going to happen when Wren goes to school. All these inappropriate, embarrassing videos are easily accessible by her classmates and their parents, and the accounts already have a huge following: she’s at a really elevated risk of being bullied and excluded. Her classmates are going to find the embarrassing stuff and will probably bully her because of it. And what parent who sees what Wren’s mother posts is going to let their child hang out with her? If Jaclyn is so comfortable posting inappropriate content of her daughter’s every moment, what’s stopping her from filming other people’s children and posting that online without the parents’ consent? Why would any sane parent let their child be friends with Wren when her mother is an active threat to their child’s safety? This woman is ruining her daughter’s life! The things she posts will never disappear from the internet, even if she deletes them. This is something Wren will literally NEVER be able to escape.

as a csem/trafficking survivor, wren is being trafficked. at the very very least, being the most generous to jacquelyn, it's non contact csa. but deliberately making sexual content of someone who does not or cannot consent for money is literally the definition of digital sex trafficking. what i was abused by was a 'typical' old school csem ring, but this is a whole new level of scary. social media is allowing more people to independently traffic their children, out in the open where anyone can see it. i at least have the reassurance that if anyone in my life finds those pictures, they're incriminating themselves because if they're on the internet it's not on the surface web. wren doesn't have that 'luxury'. this poor girl is going to grow up (hopefully; this kind of thing kills people) harassed by predators and peers who found that content, while also feeling that sense of betrayal from the person she was supposed to trust most her entire life. she might not be able to get jobs around children because of this, even though she was the victim. it's so public, and it uses her real name. genuinely, i am devastated for her. to those saying jacquelyn cannot be trafficking wren because she isn't attracted to children: many members of the group that trafficked me were not clinical pedophiles. they just cared more about money and having power and control over someone vulnerable than they did my safety and wellbeing. not to mention that of the other kids involved. attraction is not a prerequisite for abuse.

When I was a little girl, an old man felt me up me in a grocery store - with my mom standing right there, in the one second she had turned her head to read a label. My parents reported it to the store management and the police that very same day once I told her what happened. This whole thing is viscerally disgusting. My ex went to prison for possession of indecent images of children when my kid was only 1, one of his excuses was "I tried to avoid it, but it's everywhere!" Because of him I have always been hyper aware of how predators find and approach children, and have done everything in my power to protect my child. It's definitely ruined some aspects of the internet for me, but at least my kid is safe. I hope this poor girl is removed from this horrifying situation soon; I feel for her with all my heart.

@@dnrfrank Most predators are gonna be family members, not random internet strangers. Still, keep their lives and faces off the web. Protect your kids by teaching them consent early. They need to understand that NO ONE has the right to touch them in a way they don't want. Doesn't matter if it's an aunt demanding a hug or an uncle making them sit on his lap.......your kids need to know they have the right to say NO to any physical contact that makes them uncomfortable, and that they can report anything to you. My baby brother came to my mom all upset b/c people kept touching his ears and he didn't like that. Completely harmless behavior from other kids, but it's great that he recognized his right to self autonomy, and knew it was ok to tattle on the ones making him uncomfortable. So many kids keep quiet b/c they think they have to obey all adults, or b/c they're told they'll get in trouble for telling someone. Make sure your kid knows they won't ever be in trouble for telling you things, and that they don't have to obey adults who are being bad.

I walked to his table, got in his personal space and shouted loudly in his face to stop staring disgustingly at my child and if he even glanced her way law enforcement would be called. I ended up asking the manager to have him removed, as I didn't want the rest of the evening to be ruined by this freak. No mother would be okay with even letting the POSSIBILITY of their child growing up to know that HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of pedophiles have videos of her saved on their devices. Agree! It’s one thing to live your life and not stress over people looking or whatever. It’s another to post your child online, it’s like throwing her to the wolves

yeah. filming content of your child and allowing predators to save/share it freely is VERY DIFFERENT from just existing in your life in a public place where a predator might happen to be (along with lots of other people). mental gymnastics indeed

yeah, i dont know the moms name but the girls name is Danielle Cohn (idk if i spelled it right) and her mom has essentially groomed her to lie about her age

I’m terrified that as Wren gets older and viewership drops Mom will consider having another kid to keep money coming in.

Im a first time dad to a 15 month old. The simple thought of having a random person make a sexual comment towards her leaves me with an instinctual visceral feeling of disgust. This person is not a mother and could likely be defined as a sociopath. I hurt for her daughter and truly hope things change.

i feel so bad for her kid, cps or something needs to get involved immediately before something bad probably happens to that child at the hands of her mother, its happened so many times in these situations :(

Cps can’t do anything here sadly lol

The law can't do shit, the websites she posts on need to stop this themselves.

CPS can't do anything. Posting non-sexual photos/videos of your child online is not illegal, and Jacqueline has not technically committed a crime. She would say that she's not required to stop doing something legal just because others are choosing to react a certain way to the videos, and sadly she'd be right. As long as CPS can find no evidence of actual abuse or evidence of exploitation that meets legal requirements for abuse, and the child is being fed, clothed, and housed, the State won't and can't do anything.

@@sovietdoge.7369then people will just go over to instagram reels or youtube shorts or make a completely new app replacing TikTok. If you want to get rid of the problem with social media you would have to delete every social media app

I wish this kid had a different family member to live with. I don’t want the kid with her mother but I also would hate for the little girl to be sent off to complete strangers. There’s no winning here for this little girl UNLESS he mother stops posting her and take everything down! But she won’t. Cause money is more important than her child.

Her excuse for a “digital scrapbook” is that she could’ve kept the videos on her phone or get a camera… There are other ways to have a “digital scrapbook.” Wren, when she gets older and understands what is happening, she's going 100% no contact. As a mother, it's your job to protect your children. I can also see laws being implemented in Wren’s name.

Fr OR even if she wants them on tiktok. On a private account with only her/family.

My gosh, I hope it’s a “parents must not post content like this of their children”-law that she herself spearheads when she is old enough, and not because something horrible happened. Legit just felt sick at the thought of “Wren’s Law” being championed by others for her, and not by her!

Digital scrapbook my butt. I keep a "digital scrapbook" by keeping pictures in the private gallery on my Snapchat. She's doing it publicly for a reason. What an awful woman.

I love you so much for bringing awareness to this topic, it truly frightens me & makes me dissociated in a flashback ways knowing this happens still and even worse now with social media :( ❤

When I see large followings I like to put it into perspective using city populations. So 17M people following Wren is the equivalent of the entire population of Istanbul PLUS 1 million additional followers. Istanbuls current population sits just over 16M. New York City, NY holds approx 18M. Los Angeles, CA only holds 12.5M. When you think about it like that…. It’s beyond sickening.
