Lana dropping her accent kinda knocked her hotness and coming out on that show was another terrible idea because now we know how truly annoying she is. If she hadn’t, people would still see her as that strong, sexy Russian woman who was getting over more than Rusiv. Now, my ears bleed when she picks up the mic 😖

Even before that, though, she was talking in her everyday voice on "Total Divas," even while still being called "Lana."

Lana didn't have a commitment to the character outside of the ring, too, which ended up being a problem. They had great heat until they posted social media posts showing themselves looking very not their characters, Lana particularly looking very not her character. That killed their heat in my opinion. If you don't have a total commitment to being in character at least to some level outside of the ring, you will never be fully over. Fans have to believe that the person in the ring and out of it are somewhat one in the same, or they won't believe in your character.

Whatever happened to the wrestlers who were dedicated to their character like Nikata Koloff? That guy carried his accent for 11 years, even in real life. You have to respect that kind of dedication

Lana is an American born in America but she lived in Latvia for several years during her childhood, so she probably has a good knowledge of that accent.

Kofi and Lana I actually believed (never really looked it up to confirm otherwise). So I was genuinely shocked when they were dropped. Lana probably should have kept it though, it gave something to separate herself from the other women.

These talents are so amazing. To be in shape, to be fast thinker, to be good at promos, to be good in the ring, dealing with lot of injuries, stay healthy physical and mentally and yet doing a great job on imitating accents. Huge love and respect!
