I was a part of deep south at its inception in 2005, and was also mentioned, unfavorably, in bills book. Although bill and I got along very good at the start, we had a falling out after an incident at the school. I made a phone call and, admittedly, wasn't as polite as I should have been. The following day, upon entering the school, Bill handed me a note saying not to come back until I called the office. I called the office immediately and spoke to John Laurinaitis, who told me to go back there at 12 for a meeting. When I went back there everybody was asked to wait outside except myself, Bill and Joe Hamilton (who is a great man). Together we had a phone conference with Johnny Laurinaitis that went my way. Soon after, we were going through up and over and swing-and-miss drills, when I was paired up with Brian mailhot (Palmer Cannon). Brian, who was an experienced MMA fighter, "accidentally" hit me in the face with a solid shot. It was no problem for me, and I simply blew it off and said keep going. I'm sure Brian expected a receipt but I just thought it was an accident so nothing happened. When I got back on line, three of the much more experienced wrestlers came over and said, " Kenny do you realize that was a shoot? " Even though they probably had 20 years experience between the three of them I still didn't believe it. Brian, to his credit, apologized and we moved on. Not surprisingly, bill positioned himself directly underneath the corner that we were in when it happened. Later on, when I became more experience, it made me realize that it was a shoot similar to the way the boogie man had his teeth knocked out in ovw in February of that same year after an argument with Bill. I was there for that and was told a lot more about what transpired with Bill just prior to that incident from Marty. In the fall of that year I asked the office for a transfer to ovw and was denied. Instead, Tommy Dreamer said that if I stayed at Deep South he would bring me up to be a part of the FBI. I declined. Instead, I went to Florida and joined a great wrestling school to continue training. In early 06, I was called from WWE and asked to come to the Royal Rumble where they made me a druid with the Undertaker (that is not Dean Ambrose, contrary to internet rumors :-). A year later I was put on the road for live shows and wrestled many of the guys on the roster at the time, including Chavo Guerrero, Eugene and even have a clean win over William Regal. The following year I was brought to FCW and was mentioned in becoming teamed with Santino in a bodyguard roll. For some reason, that fell through. Bill had mentioned in his book that he had no idea what happened with me after I left DSW, but I can assure you that he did. As a trainer myself for several decades, I could say that bill has the ability to be a great trainer. In my opinion, Bill still wanted to wrestle when he was running Deep South wrestling and was somewhat bitter about being a coach.

@@superstarthomas I was in developmental and worked dark matches with my own name. Later, in spring/summer 08, when I did the bodyguard promos and a couple of matches in fcw it was with the character Rocco Cipriano. Al Barone was the other wrestler being considered for The Bodyguard role. You can look it up if it interests you. If I was sent to ovw after my fallout w Bill, I never would've left. TRANSLATION FROM AL SNOW: I don't wanna throw my buddy under the bus. The donut thing was totally uncalled for, and first of all I'd refuse to take part, and if it was a situation where if you didn't do it you would be thrown out of TE and I would end up naively doing it thinking that if I didnt I would lose my opportunity, then make no mistake if it's the last thing I ever did I would get even some day. A ballbat, a lead pipe, or whatever, but Bill Demott would regret the day that he ever did such a thing to another human being.

Bill DeMutt (yeah, I meant to spell it that way) was never anything more than a glorified jobber. He knew it, and was bitter about it, so he took it out on people he trained. He was a bully, just like JBL, who never should've been champion as long as he was. They both sucked IMO
@Ayyem93
@Ayyem93 4 жыл бұрын
I love when marks like you use the word jobber as if it completely invalidates a talent and they don't know how to wrestle. At the end of the day, a jobber still has a job 🙄 Someone can become a jobber for any number of reasons, and if you're honest with yourself you'd acknowledge that even Hogan or Austin could've ended up jobbers if Vince really wanted them to be, because it's up to the promoter and booker. Now good day

Nope it was suggested by Matt Cardona (Zack Ryder) so he didn't have to train while hung over, if you don't believe it watch any video of him or Brian Meyers talking about it, a deep south tradition was make a deal (i think) fridays where the wrestlers would find a way to make themselves look dumb to avoid training.
