Wrestling Specific Cardio = Use traditional cardio to get your heart rate up and then build muscular endurance in wrestling specific positions!
YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE FREE CARDIO PROGRAM HERE: www.bodyrejuv....
I get asked this all the time, " Josh, I have been running a ton and still feel like I am getting super tired on the mat. How else can I improve my cardio?"...
My first response is "how often do you run in your 6 minute wrestling match?"
First you must understand that if you want to improve your conditioning on the mat then you must do wrestling specific cardio. You can use running to get your heart rate high, but then you must move your body in wrestling specific ways to build the muscular endurance in these positions.
Secondly, you need to push your physiological limits to the max during these workouts. Your feelings and emotions lie to you and try to convince you to stop because you are tired, but the NUMBERS don't lie. Use your 12 minute max cardio test to figure out your high intensity threshold and maintain this as long as possible!
This is all laid out in the FREE wrestling specific cardio program. Click below to download THREE high intensity workouts that are guaranteed to take your performance to the next level!

Some factors in wrestling match endurance. It helps to be in good shape, from wrestling in bursts and longer sparing with others, preferably more than one other sparring partner, in case they get tired. Wind sprints Distance runs with both fast and slow mixed. Calisthenics Weight lifting, don’t ignore core strength, neck strength, hip and leg strength, grip strength If you are stronger than opponent then all else being equal, they will get tired before you Develop high skill level scoring moves If you are high skill level, then you will not gas as quickly. Freestyle rules while on feet help keep stallers from resting by stepping out of bounds. Unfortunately Freestyle rules on mat sometimes allow both wrestlers to rest while on mat-unless the top man has enough skill and strength to turn bottom man for points. If you pressure the opponent and actively fight entire match, and are in better shape, you can sometimes win matches, overtaking opponent in last couple minutes of match. I’ve been in matches, I was outclassed by better wrestlers and defeated them in last minute, after losing first part of match. And I have died or gassed in last few minutes of matches, I was ahead on score, and was blitzed as time ran out. I ran out of gas--hahaha

Brother, you've spent a over a minute before you get to it. Good insights but please get straight to point or put timestamps. Some of us would much rather immediately hear the reason we're here for than listen to the filler stuff.

Unfortunately youtube has moved to a system that disincentivies brevity. Watch time as a metric leads to longer videos.

@@filthydan6159 “Karen…” lol. How funny… if you had any sense you’d put your fragile ego to the side and capitalize on my comment to make the content better. Or, maybe I’m dead wrong and your infinite wisdom has told you that people don’t have short attention spans and what people really want is to hear someone rambling for 8 minutes…
