Back in the day, I was already gone at this point. We had stopped switching between stations long before this, and then when college rolled around it was dead. I mean, continue to watch this? I don’t know though. Watching Hogan get man-handled in the opening was fun and unusual. Even if they could have convinced him to do that back in the day, not necessarily lose the belt but just get laid out a few times to make his matches vaguely unpredictable, would have worked wonders.

His sister will do just fine in about a decade. There’s an art to being a coward shitheel champion. Yoy have to be able to talk if nothing else. You have to make the crowd want to see you loose, Honkey Tonk Man famously did this perfectly for a full calendar year.
