Back in the day, I was already gone at this point. We had stopped switching between stations long before this, and then when college rolled around it was dead. I mean, continue to watch this? I don’t know though. Watching Hogan get man-handled in the opening was fun and unusual. Even if they could have convinced him to do that back in the day, not necessarily lose the belt but just get laid out a few times to make his matches vaguely unpredictable, would have worked wonders.

It's funny people think Steve Blackman used a car to hurt Kenny boy. Blackman himself actually transformed into the blackmobile, which of course is maroon to hide the blood stains of his enemies. Blackman stepping out of the blackmobile was merely a mental projection of himself, cos he can do that.

Something to note: Sonny Onoo and Bischoff were friends since the 80's. It was Sonny's failed game that Bischoff used to get into the AWA, as Eric figured that Verne could sell it during the AWA show to offload the warehouse full of them. That's why Sonny got paid. It's also hilarious to consider that he was part of the racial discrimination lawsuit against Turner when he was getting paid more than a lot of the roster.

I genuinely can’t understand how anyone can look at David Flair’s “everything” and say he deserves a spot on tv. It’s not even to say the nepotism is an issue. His sister will do just fine in about a decade. There’s an art to being a coward shitheel champion. Yoy have to be able to talk if nothing else. You have to make the crowd want to see you loose, Honkey Tonk Man famously did this perfectly for a full calendar year. Every single time I’ve seen David Flair on camera the only thing I feel is embarrassment. It’s absolutely fascinating HOW MUCH of a push he got and seeing it might be my favorite part of these things.

RAW just have the best rooster and talent, they can have so many variegations of matches and match types. Where WCW have limited superstars. If RAW has 2 guys wrestle each other many times its still entertaining where as WCW gets boring with the same guys having matches. I think the midcard of WWE at this time can almost match up to WCW's main event. Thanks again for all the work put into Reliving the War! so great seeing everything again. I love this time in WWE and all the matches are high energy and exited

Despite WCW being well on the way to being unmatchable, it's still important to note just how popular wrestling was becoming. 10.5 combined Nielsen rating, Episode 2 had a 4.6. It was an awesome time.

My two favorite things about this show is the mean street posse song and Bret talking about his cat smokey.

I will never get tired of hearing the Mean Street Posse remix. The lyrics sounds like a teenaged boy explaining to his friend how he lost his virginity

So, Blackman had a chat with Goldberg, and Billy agreed to help him by destroying the country music source that weakened him on Sunday. Now he can focus dealing with the backstabber Shamrock, and no country music will effect it again.

As much as people hate the NWO, they gave WCW one important thing: Focus, purpose and stability in storylines, even with other nonsense. Up till after FPOD, no matter what was happening, there was a clear consistent evil faction and clear consistent good ones, even with the Wolfpac and Goldberg etc.

So Nash turned face because Ric Flair screwed Hogan out of the title at Uncensored and DDP 'injured' Hogan at Spring Stampede. So Nash wins the world title at Slamboree and spends the next two PPV's feuding with Savage and a returning Sid. Lost the title to Savage at Bash at the Beach. That didn't work for Hogan so he naturally wins the title from Savage the next night with help from Nash. Then next week Nash turns on Hogan and forms a team with Sid and Rick Steiner. WCW in 1999.

If he had years in NXT and personal mentoring by his father's favorite wrestlers of the generation to follow him-Michaels and HHH-like his sister had, it would be hereditary.
