I love in shoot interviews whenever the topic of Michaels from this era comes up, the person always says, "Shawn is in a completely different person and in a good space now, but back in the mid-90s...."

For me Shawn Michaels and Diesel worked very well together, they had unbelievable chemistry as partners and opponents, their combination of speed, strength and cocky attitude made them a very entertaining duo to watch on TV. In my opinion, i would say HBK put Nash over very strong in terms of selling and bumping around as well as helping to put him on the map as a huge talent in the wrestling business. As much as i enjoyed their Wrestlemania 11 match, their no holds barred match at In Your House: Good Friends, Better Enemies was much better and is my all time favourite from their program.

I remember being an HBK fan and getting so happy when his entrance happened. My Dad (watching it for the first time) left the room and talked to my Mom in the kitchen for 20 minutes. They both came back in with tears in their eyes and told me they would love me no matter what. Looking back now they definitely thought I swung that way because I liked Shawn

Should have had Diesel win a battle royal on the Raw after the 94 Survivor Series to determine the number 1 contender for the WWF championship. He could replicate his Royal Rumble performance by eliminating everyone. Before squashing Backlund later in the evening.
@TONYGILLEY
@TONYGILLEY 2 жыл бұрын
At the time I remember thinking it was Vince trying to recapture the Magic of Hulkamania with it happening at MSG. The problem much like Lex Luger, Diesel is not Hulk Hogan. What got him over was being a silent but deadly dominant badass. The only time he would show weakness (or lost) is when he'd make a serious tactical error or was pushed past his limit to which the opponents would pounce him, the proverbial slip on the banana peel. Instead, Diesel lost most of his heel edge being presented as white meat babyface. Another problem is Diesel needed to work with more guys that were on par with Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels for those PPV matches instead of guys like Sid or Mabel.

When you look at where they started to where they ended up the Kliq really owned wrestling and their influence is still shown till this day. Almost every member has been revolutionary in the business. Shawn for his work, Scott and Nash for their style, Triple H for his mind, even X-Pac is looked at as a member of 2 iconic factions in wrestling. Say what you may about the Kliq but they won.

I always hear certain wrestlers say The Kliq held them back or whatever. I look back to the mid-90's in the WWF and I see a garbage man, a fitness guru, a racecar driver, a college teacher, a dentist, etc. Yeah they're right though. Those gimmicks what have been huge if it wasn't for Kliq politics... But seriously, what talent did WWF have in that era who were so great or who had potential that the Kliq sabotaged?
@ajsgaming83
@ajsgaming83 2 жыл бұрын
exactly and they said they had no prop with the actually wrestlers just the "job" gimmicks that was given at that time. look how successful kain was after he ditched the dentist and fake deasil gimmicks, bob holly was much better when he became hardcore holly. and some wrestlers was just bitter coz they could not all fit in like Shane Dugles Who will always buries the Kliq but never mentions when Yoko Told him to shut the f up and that everything was not about him one time one a tour bus

Funny thing is I was actually going to recommend a Two Dudes with Attitude video and glad this video was uploaded, thank you Wrestling Bios. Shawn and Kevin had great chemistry as a tag team. The best match they had together was that IYH 7 Good Friends Better Enemies No Holds Barred Match for the WWE title. Kevin was not ready to be world champ. Vince should have built his face run because he was a midcarder to me at that time. You see how Shawn starts behind Kevin and then pops up in the front lol, he loves that spotlight and focus on him. The rivalry with him Shawn and Scott for the IC belt was great stuff.

If you do a Kliq vid please give us a deep dive. I think we all know the basics of it but there’s a lot of interesting background things that went on that made them all super close I think. They are the closest group of people to come out of wrestling I think considering they were always seen together in interviews and stuff nonstop the last 20ish years. Bone Street Krew seemed close too but more like a backstage friend group where I think Kliq were always taking care of each other during rehab stints and surgeries and stuff. Edit: added a please, didn’t want to appear demanding and rude. Thank you.

I have an Alesis SR 16 drum machine, and seriously. ALL the drums for the opening intros to the videos on this channel use the exact same drum sounds. Once I've heard it, I can't unhear it. I have a feeling that this music was made with either an Alesis SR 16, or some Alesis drum machine (or samples of one). I've noticed that a LOT of Alesis drum machines have these same samples. The drum samples don't really change much. But every time I hear these tunes, I always think about that drum machine.

From the 60s, 70s, 80s and the 90s he knows his R&B music. I gotta say this too *Shawn "HBK" Michaels* has the coolest looking wrestling footwear ever.
