Wrestling Bios Presents - The Career of The Undertaker: 1997
1997 would be an excellent year for The Undertaker in terms of championship gold and big storylines. During this time period in the WWF, Undertaker's popularity and fan support was at an all-time high, and 'Taker would main event WrestleMania 13 while capturing the WWF Championship in the progress.
During the year, Undertaker would have great matches against the likes of Vader, Mankind, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels. As the year came to an end though, the debut of Undertaker's younger brother Kane would prove pivotal.
Continuing the Wrestling Bios series of Undertaker career videos, this one covers 'Taker's entire 1997 run. Topics covered:
01:38 - Undertaker at the 1997 Royal Rumble
03:58 - In Your House: Final Four
05:51 - Undertaker vs Sid at WrestleMania 13
07:27 - Mankind vs Undertaker at IYH Revenge of the Taker
09:38 - Undertaker's "Secret"
15:32 - Kane debuts at Badd Blood 97
16:40 - Undertaker's matches with Austin, Hart and Faarooq
- Much More!

1997 had some amazing feuds (a few of these carrying over to 1998): HBK v Austin, HBK v Hart, HBK v Taker, Austin v Hart, Austin v Taker, Austin v Rock .. I was 14 years old, watched it all play out week to week, whole thing was like magic!

Thank you so much for uploading this video, I consider 1997 to be one of Undertaker's best years ever in his career and he was at the peak of his gothic persona. His segments with Paul Bearer especially with the buildup for Kane's debut was some of the best storytelling ever on TV, his match with HBK in the first ever hell in a cell match was match of the year and he had an epic title reign as wwf champion. This is one of my favourite years as an Undertaker fan and I can't wait for you to cover 1998 🤞 🙏 😁

What Happened To The Undertaker Never Drew A Time? As I Redundabtly Rightfully Posted That Dominant Tall Skinny Fat/Nonfat/Nonbuilt/Nonmuscular Wrestlers In Sports Entertainment History Weighed/Weigh 400-500 Pounds & Dominant Fat Wrestlers In Sports Entertainment History Weighed/Weigh 400-800 Pounds. Muscles Outweigh Fat. The Undertaker Is Tall Nonbuilt/Nonmuscular At 328 Pounds. He Was Never Built/Muscular. That's Why He Didn't Make It In WCW. WCW Didn't Push Vanilla Midgets Nor Small Fat/Skinny Fat/Nonfat/Nonbuilt/Nonmuscular Heavyweights Who Weren't That Big-Who Were Heavyweights In Cruiserweights Bodies. Their Smallest Fat Wrestler To Win The World Heavyweight Title Was Their Biggest & Only Vader-400/450 Pounds And Their Smallest Tall Skinny Fat/Nonfat/Nonbuilt/Nonmuscular Wrestler To Win The World Heavyweight Title, Was Their Biggest & Only, The Giant/Big Show, 400/550 Pounds. The Giant/Big Show Wasn't Fat At First. It Was In Over His Last Year In WCW. The Undertaker Wouldn't Have Made It In WCW. The WWE Pushed/Pushes Small Wrestlers & Small Fat/Skinny Fat/Nonfat/Nonbuilt/Nonmuscular Heavyweights Who Were/Aren't That Big-Who Were/Are Heavyweights In Cruiserweights Bodies. It's Obvious, Virtually Obvious That The Undertaker Was Only Over, Because Of His Gimmick. He's Like Those Horror Movie Characters That Aren't Big/Big Enough That Has Supernatural Powers & Just Like They're Booked Hard To Kill, That's How The Undertaker Got Over. He Is Still Overrated, Especially To Be Considered One Of The G.O.A.T.S. In Sports Entertainment History. Fans Said That The Undertaker Deadman Gimmick Wouldn't Have Worked In WCW. It Wouldn't As As Long As He Stayed The Same Size & Or Not Gained Muscles/More Muscles, He Would've Been Back In The Midcard. I Wasn't The 1st Person To Comment Saying, That The Undertaker Is Overrated, But I Agree All The Way & I'm/I'd. Explained More Of How/Why He Is Overrated. The WWE Does The Worst Propaganda & Overhype. With the Undertaker As The A.B A. In WCW, He Would've No Longer Been Able To Use Magic Powers & He Would've Stayed In The Midcard. Are You, Dime Drawer, A Casual Fan Of Casual Fans Or Just A WWE Fan. I Don't Recall You Saying Any WWE Superstars Never Drew A Dime, Only WCW & Maybe ECW. What's The Deal-io? WCW Didn't Have As Near As Many Overrated Wrestlers As The WWE. You Said That Lex Luger & Scott Hall Never Drew A Dime. Me & Many/Most Others Disagree. Scott Hall & Roddy Piper Are The Best Wrestlers In Sports Entertainment To Never Win The World Heavyweight Titles And Lex Luger Was Super Over In 1997, More Over Than The Undertaker In 1997 & In WCW, Lex Luger Would've Always Been More Over Than The Undertaker. Scott Hall Helped Revolutionize Sports Entertainment With The Greatest Faction In WCW & Sports Entertainment History. DX & The Undertaker's Ministry Of Don't & Never Could've Compare/Compared To The NWO. DX & The Undertaker's Ministry Of Darknes Are Overrated. The Ministry Of Darkness Had Only 2 Built/Muscular Wrestlers, A 250-24 Pound Faarooq & A 212 Pound Christian. The Only Big Fat/Nonbuilt/Nonmuscular Wrestler They Had Was Viiscera. The Rest Are Small Fat/Skinny Fat/Nonfat/Nonbuilt/Nonmuscular Heavyweights Who Weren't That Big-Who Were Heavyweights In Cruiserweights. Lex Luger With The Dungeon Of Doom(When He Turned Heel At HH 1995 & Formed An Alliance With Them. Lex Luger Who You Called Overrated Helped Made The Dungeon Of Doom Bigger & Better Than The Ministry Of Darkness. That's Why They Lasted As Long As They Did Before The nWO Started & WCW & The WWE Were Winning Back & Forth In The Ratings With The Same Number Of Wins Before The NWO Started), Made Them Bigger & More Powerful Than The Ministry Of Darkness. The D.O.D. Had Someone Bigger Than Everyone In The M.O.D. The Giant/Big For The Overrated Undertaker, Lex Luger(A Main Eventer) For Faarooq, The Zodiac/Brutus Beefcake For Christian, Hugh Morrus For Gangrel, Meng/Haku For Bradshaw, The Barbarian For Edge, The Shark/Earthquake & Lochness For Viscera(The Shark Weighed More Than Viscera Later On & Lochness Already Weighed Over 150 Pounds More Than Viscera) & The One Man Gang For Mideon(Or Hugh Morrys For Mideon & The One Man Gang For Gangrel). The Dungeon Of Doom Because Of Lex Luger Were Bigger & Better Than The Ministry Of Darkness Before They Ministry Of Darkness Happened. Now That's A Supernatural Prediction. Without Lex Luger, The Dungeon Of Doom Would've Ended Sooner. They Continued After The NWO Started, But They Were No Longer The Main Faction Nor One Of The Main Factions, Along With The Four Horsemen. In The Edge, Christian & JBL Related Videos, You Can Talk About How Those Nonbuilt/Nonmuscular Heavyweights Never Drew A Dime. F.Y.I., I Am The Biggest Casual There Is, Was & Ever Will Be. I Don't Make Exceptions Acceptions For Any Cruiserweights Or Small Fat/Skinny Fat/Nonfat/Nonbuilt/Nonmuscular Heavyweights In Cruiserweights Bodies. I Bet Lex Luger Also Drew More Than Triple H. Triple H Didn't Make It In WCW, Because He Wasn't Big/Built/Muscular Enough. He Didn't Become Fully Built/Muscular Until 1999 & WWE Fans Say That HHH Only Got To The Top, Because He Married The Boss's Daughter. And Now, He Caters/Has Catered To The Smarks. Lex Luger Was Just As Big Of A Heel As HHH-His Turning On Goldberg After The Fingerpoke Of Doom, His Attack On Bret Hart For Injuring Sting With The Baseball Bat, He Breaking All Those Wrestlers Arms, Starting With Sting At Starrcade 1999 & His Heel Work For The Remaining Months In WCW, Especially The Most Controversial One, Retiring Goldberg Through Cheating & Having A Funeral For Goldberg's Career The Next Night. It's All About How Underrated He Seemed As a Heel. The Has Done Too Much Propaganda & Hyping/Overhyping. Lex Luger In The Dungeon Of Doom Gave Them 2 Main Eventers To The Ministry Of Darkness 1. Kevin Nash Had The Undertaker & His Streak Beaten At Wrestlemania 12, But Nash Raised The Undertaker After The 2 Count, Bacause Vince McMahon/The WWE Told Him Too, Since He & Scott Hall Were Leaving To Go Back Home To WCW. The Undertaker Could've Never Beaten Kevin Nash Nor Sid Vicious In WCW. Sources Say That The Undertaker Served No Purpose In The Main Event Without The Streak & He Was Like This Underdog. It's Funny/Ridiculous That WWE Fanboys Compare The Undertaker's Strreak To Goldberg. Third Of All, The Undertaker Would've Never Been In The Main Event In WCW & The Rest, Goldberg Beat Opponents Every Night At Work & The Undertaker Already Had Lost Matches. The Undertaker Could've Never Beaten Goldberg In WCW, Even If Goldberg Did Legitimately Knock Himself Out Conscious.

Yeah, IYH: Final Four is one of my personal favorite PPVs from that era, mainly focused on the Final Four Match itself.

Like you said in a previous taker video, taker didnt need the championship to be relevant. He was one of those guys that would rather put people over than him being at the top

Probably my version of the Undertaker, from the 1997-98 attire where he had the Gothic robe and attire and also the favorite version of his theme, the Graveyard Symphony

I think the statue of limitations was up by then anyways so Taker had nothing to worry about as far as that fire in the funeral home 👍

That's Mayor Kane, and don't you forget it! On a more serious note, it's kind of weird yet also pretty cool seeing Glenn Jacobs go from being Kane to being a mayor. I still remember seeing some sort of press conference he did while mayor where he put on the Kane mask and gave some guy a chokeslam through a table lol.
