Sting's transformation was one of those 1st form to final form type of deals from his face paint, to his ring attire, his hair growing into the crow gimmick. Then from being charismatic and talking to being mysterious and not speaking at all. One of the best change of characters of all time.

I was a hulkamaniac, a little warrior and a little stinger. More so a stinger. Why tf could this dude jump all the way across a ring? There's no "Hogan leg drop", "flair figure 4" or "warrior body splash" but there is the stinger splash... no matter who does it, it's the stinger splash.

September 16th 1996 I was in the 6th grade and had grown up a “little stinger.” He was the reason I watched wrestling. I will never forget that promo it’s probably my all time favorite and the following transformation into “Crow Sting” just made me that much more of a fan. He’s the GOAT in my opinion.

You should check him out now! At 63 hes in the best physical shape and wrestling with AEW and putting on awesome matches. Every time I see him in the ring or doing dives off the ring entrance into the crowd I forget that he's in his 60s. But it's not like you're afraid for his well being and his age is showing.. the guy is in legitimate amazing shape, still running the ropes.

Wow,,,I remember, before WCW got REALLY big, they used to show it on Saturdays in the UK on Channel 4. It was mainly 3 or 4 Jobber vs Jobber matches, a promo shoot or two, and if we were lucky, Sting vs Big Van Vader to finish the program. EDIT: My mistake. It was WCW Worldwide, Circa 1992, on ITV Saturday evenings.

Honestly 90s HBK and Sting(before he turned into "crow" sting, and even then he still tried his best to match all of his attire) had some of the best wrestling attire when it comes to the way that they coordinate all of their attire. The way they wear the matching boots with the tights and their entrance attire and etc. I swear no other wrestlers during that era had better and colorful attire like HBK and Sting.

56:55 In a way, I still get surprised at how badly Hogan was behind the scenes when he can't even remember the name of the group *HE SAID HE HELPED CREATE!* That's why we really know that he just saw a bandwagon he could hitch his dusty ass to for longevity. Its probably why Nash always stood about 2 paces away from Hogan for just about all his mic sessions with Hall and Hogan.

The reality was that this was about Sting knowing the fans better than most of the rest of the talent. Yes, the "Crow" inspired version and the later "Joker" inspired version were others' ideas.. but only Sting had the charisma and bond with the fans to pull it off. While everyone boasted how "WWF/E was always running at number one, Sting almost single handed at times for long stretches made WCW worth watching. "Destroying" Sting was vital either for a heel to get over (many tried and got into the upper tier that way...), or to lure him away. Vince tried many times.. and the fact that Trips was so threatened by him that even after Sting jobbed to him at Mania.. he let Seth Rollins "retire him" so he couldn't claim an WWE Triple Crown or even a Grand slam (as WWE acknowledges WCW championships). The truth be told.. Sting was the man that made the MNW so worth watching.
