@@theazureknight9399 era's are always fluid. This time period to me was already attitude era even if the branding hadn't changed yet. You are correct that most people will point to the screw job as the start of it but you can clearly see the tide is already turning. To me, and just my personal opinion, the attitude era really kicks off with the royal rumble because after the dusty finish where Austin screws over Brett you see Brett attacking Vince and Austin start to bloom into the badass. The concept that Vince was "only a commentary guy" until Montreal is just plain wrong. Shawn had called him out as the boss several times before that, again Brett yelled and attacked Vince over the royal rumble outcome, Austin went to Vince about it too, so it's just plain false. But its semantics so can always be argued when the era truly began.

@@Goomyx1492 but the way the laws are written make it very easy to lose your IP if you don't defend it. if you set that precedence it can make legal hell for you going forward since people will claim they thought it was ok to use your stuff based on this case or that. It's why you'll see WWE put in copyright complaints holding content like this only to release it a few weeks later. They know this kind of content helps them, but that way they can claim they've attempted to defended their property. I'm as critical of WWE as anyone, but this isn't one of those instances where Vince is just trying to be a jerk. AEW, Impact, etc do the same thing. In fact AEW can be even worse about it because they have to set a precedence of defending their property where WWE has a long history they can lean on. It's the same with movies, shows, music, etc.
