Wrestling Bios Presents - The Story of Razor Ramon in the WWF
Scott Hall made his WWF debut in 1992 as Razor Ramon, a character that went on to become very popular in the mid 90s in the World Wrestling Federation. Beginning his run as a heel, Razor Ramon quickly rose up the ranks within the WWF, oozing machismo while putting his opponents away with "The Razor's Edge".
Around a year after his debut, Razor Ramon's popularity had gotten so big and his crowd reactions had gotten so loud that it was decided that The Bad Guy would become a good guy. To complete the turn, Razor Ramon and the 1-2-3 Kid had an entertaining storyline where The Kid got an upset win over Razor. After Money Inc. laughed at Ramon for losing this match, Razor decided to partner with 1-2-3 Kid, and from here, Ramon's popularity would get even bigger. Razor would go on to become one of the greatest Intercontinental Champions in WWF history while having entertaining matches throughout his entire run.
This video covers Razor Ramon's WWF Career from 1992 - 1996. Topics covered include:
02:15 - The Razor Ramon vignettes
04:18 - The Razor Ramon WWF Debut
07:00 - Bret Hart vs Razor Ramon at Royal Rumble 1993
08:48 - The Razor Ramon vs 1-2-3 Kid Storyline
14:49 - The Kliq in the WWF
16:57 - Razor Ramon begins a feud with Double J
18:58 - Shawn Michaels vs Razor Ramon at SummerSlam 1995
20:53 - Razor Ramon begins a feud with 1-2-3 Kid
23:23 - Razor Ramon vs Goldust
- Much More!

I got to meet Razor at a local department store meet and greet in Boston when I was a kid. He was actually really nice, in character. I asked “are you Scott hall that used to wrestle in awa?” He answered “yeah mang”. I felt like I was a total badass at 11yo because I knew razor ramons true identity lmao

But by far the most underrated... Scott Hall literally set off the Monday Night Wars... HE made the nWo possible... Hogan and Nash could not have worked the WCW matches the way Hall did... It would have went no where as Hogan was pretty much a 3 minute punch fest match by this point already. All the good talent would have matches with Hall to build up their rivalries with the nWo and the Outsiders..

What was genius about Razor Ramone was he took the same dynamic that made audiences cheer for Tony Montana and made it show through Scott Hall and it was almost inevitable that he'd become an antihero. He had the same sort of stage presence of all the great workers. He always got a huge pop, he always knew how to sell, he always knew how to stay in character and, at some point, he didn't even need his Razor persona, the fans loved him just as himself.

I LOVED Scott Hall as Razor Ramon, he just had "it". I was crushed the day he died. My little bro gave me a Razor Ramon action figure in box. I wanted to get it signed by him, he was in Vancouver doing something a few years ago. I would of LOVED to of had that signed by him. I also have had some of the same issues he has had in his life. So to see him go from him in the mid 2000's to him with DDP and the life he had after. Those demons have a way of coming back to kicking you in the ass later on in life sadly. I am so proud of what Scott accomplished in his life after he got his act together. Scott was just mesmerizing as Razor and made watching WWF back then somewhat palatable. RIP Mr Hall, the matches in Heaven just got a whole lot better. You are missed and remembered.

Indeed one of my fav. childhood stars. His moves, finisher, that slow walk leaning a little forward, "Eh yo!", he had the Chrisma!

"Wait, what's that bag for?" "It's a prop for my promo. It's supposed to be the cash I'll offer the kid..." "Well, this is just ridiculous, how is the audience supposed to know it's money that's inside the bag? Let's put a big dollar sign on the bag!"

Back when wrestling was fun & entertaining. *RIP Scott Hall* Thanks for the memories Razor Ramon Gone too soon. Never to be forgotten. Seeing this makes me realize how old I am. Man we are really not on this earth for long at all. Never regret getting older as it's a privilege denied to many.

Would've been nice. Too late, but some sort of comeback would've been cool. Might even have put AEW on.

@Mantorras Montquilla he is a murder? I think you mean "murderer" and that's true he is a murderer, BUT it was self defense and he wasn't charged with it. 👏👏💪

@Drupiter even tho it was justifiable homicide, going by the definition of murderer, he is one js. I literally looked up the definition of it before i commented lol.

@Mantorras Montquilla Self-defense is not classified as murder. It's classified as justifiable homicide. You don't need a law degree to understand such basic concepts.

@Mantorras Montquilla murder [ mur-der ] noun Law. the killing of another human being under conditions specifically covered in law. In the U.S., special statutory definitions include murder committed with malice aforethought, characterized by deliberation or premeditation or occurring during the commission of another serious crime, as robbery or arson (first-degree murder, ormurder one ), and murder by intent but without deliberation or premeditation (second-degree murder, ormurder two ). Go away, troll.

Scott Hall sold Razor so damn well. The swagger, the trademark toothpick, the deliberately slow walk. He was right there with Rick Rude, Jake the Snake, Undertaker, and Macho Man with how well he did his gimmick.
