Why SmackDown 2005-2007 Was Awesome!

WWE SmackDown. For some reason, SmackDown is usually the most consistent show WWE has to offer. 2005-2007 was once again a entertaining era for SmackDown. They had a versatile roster that managed to excel in workrate, storylines, comedy, everything. SmackDown from 2005 to 2007 was definitely a gem. In this video I cover the awesome run WWE SmackDown had from 2005 all the way to 2007. This run saw Kurt Angle, Rey Mysterio, King Booker captured the World Championship. Gregory Helms dominated as the Cruiserweight Champ. The Boogeyman debuted, Jimmy Wang Yang debuted. Randy Orton made his mark. Batista and The Undertaker lead the brand. My favorites were Shut your Mouth and Here Comes the Pain. I missed the Smackdown vs Raw games era, 😔 and came back with 2k17, fitting 2 Lesnar games. I'm playing 2k19 right now

The best era of smackdown was the summer of 02- spring of 04 era of smackdown but 05-07 smackdown was the era that made me a fan of wrestling so I'll always have a soft spot for this era too

As a kid I've always preferred Smackdown for two reasons 1. It was on Friday & 2. I really hated Triple H's Reign Of Terror. Yes ik it ended after Wrestlemania 21 & I loved DX 2006 but still Smackdown had more variety imo

Triple H really took chances away from a lot of potential stars by clamering to the spotlight. Then they just did the same with Cena on Raw only as Baby face. So totally agree man.

I clearly remember wrestling going to shit after Benoit died. I stopped watching in like July or August of 2007, it became a chore to watch after that. It became too much of a joke and corny once Hornswoggle was Vince’s kid lol. That said, I watched for a bits and pieces in 2011, 2013-2015, and then finally stopped for good in 2018. Nothing is even close to the pre-2008 period WWE imo.

Smackdown from 03-07 was WWE at it's peak for me at least it had good wrestling, good characters and good stories. I probably love it so much bc I was a child at the time plus never read the dirt sheets on the internet back than even though I knew about them just never bothered or maybe the internet was so damn slow back than lmao and the fact it was on Friday's just made it that much better. I got to stay up late I was either playing with my wrestling action figures or gaming on my PS2. Great times. I'm glad I grow up during this time.
