Flair being the Scorpian was the best thing about that gimmick. I mean I doubt many fans would have guessed it was him because he was still a active wrestler at the time and there was no big clues to point towards Flair's direction. Oboy, I'm gonna be roasted for this, but the CONCEPT of the Black Scorpion wasn't bad - a mysterious heel whose head games on opponents was his greatest strength. But, as always, bad execution & antics that went truly over the top doomed it. Ole & Herd further demolished it by "Twin Peaks-ing" it to death. If they could've picked ONE guy to use the gimmick, that would've been solid, but things got SO bad that they literally put some unbooked talent in the mask for house shows & Clash of the Champions specials. I WILL give them credit for having a core of semi-regular Scorpions - all the men you highlighted plus the Angel of Death - but even this was cut off at the knees by sticking them in the shows almost at random & doing David Lynch - like swerves to keep us guessing who it was. Them shooting the gimmick dead as they did was probably the least damaging way Ole & Herd had to getting out from under the botch-job they let go out of control.
