When we confess our sins; if Jesus forgives us, he cleanses us from all unrighteousness. Then we are made clean, and we lose all desire for sin. We are able to be obedient to God. The transformation that we receive from the Holy Spirit is not temporary. It is permanent. Jesus does not need to keep cleansing us because his work in us is not faulty or lacking. His power is immeasurable, and he can crucify the flesh for good. Scripture says that Jesus performs a circumcision without hands in the removal of the flesh. People who are still in the flesh are not saved. The apostle Paul said that we are not in the flesh if the Holy Spirit is in us. Everyone who dies while still in their flesh will experience eternal damnation. Most Christians don't seem to understand that sinning Christians are actually the lukewarm Christians that Jesus warned would be spit out and rejected. Lukewarm Christians don't have any real love, devotion, loyalty, or commitment to Jesus. Their feelings for him don't run very deep. They don't have the Holy Spirit who fills us with God’s love that brings true contentment. They seek comfort, gratification, and contentment from the world through sin. They don't understand why they can never be filled. The false church teaches that all it takes to receive salvation is to just "accept Jesus." The truth is that Jesus will not accept any Christian whose feelings for him are only nonchalant and superficial. 1 John 5:3 "For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome."
