I just modified my oldest “beater” Night Timber X with the servos you had recommended and wow, what a difference. Super fine resolution and makes the plane feel quite smooth as opposed to the more coarse stock servos. For your float, nothing a little chunk of foam and some filler can handle. It’ll buff out for sure. 🤓

Glad to hear you're enjoying those B11s - I only recommend things I've personally paid for in some fashion, and I've been using those B11DLS servos for over two years now. They're just good all around and are very cheap for how much precision they have and how much torque they offer. I actually filled the float with foam putty and sealed it with a layer of CA. It should hold for the foreseeable future.

8:50 "oops you did it again!" Like the Britney Spears song Jon LOL. At least you was able to go back up again without missing parts. 9:44 Better the float then your hand or fingers. Fantastic job on taking this 3d monster though ringer.

Well that answers the age old question, what is the best way to dry your bird after a splashdown? Harrier!
@TwoBrosRC2 жыл бұрын
Yep! It's already wet. Might as well dry it off in the air.

Really nice flying, its so motivating..!😁 waiting for the day i can do a rolling harrier with my timber X..! Butt i Wonder where did you Get det dacals for the floats..? Thanks for all your videos..!😊👍

Thanks man! I didn't get them anywhere - they're electrical tape that I've cut and placed to look similar to the Timber graphics.

Hi Jon, really love to watch your vids, your skills are just amazing, you’re an inspiration to me. As an intermediate aerobatics pilot I’d like not only to improve my current level but also to start performing in 3D. Which one of the Timber X or Evolution would you recommend for that? Many thanks.
@TwoBrosRC2 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! I'd recommend getting the X if you're looking to improve in 3D maneuvering. Standard Timbers can only do limited 3D.

I love this bird and I have one but what I really dont like is all the wires you have to disconnect when taking it off to transport it.

It only takes a minute or so. Not really a big deal IMO

Jon, really impressive flying! Couple questions what kind of propeller are you using on that, and also are using the steel rod in the horizontal stabiliser? Thanks in advance Jon! 👍👍👏👏👏👏😄
@TwoBrosRC2 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! I'm using the carbon rod and the prop is a Xoar 13x5. It should be in the description but I'll link it again here: tinyurl.com/Xoar13x5

Wow,great flying! Love the Hoover and harrier stuff,love the plane aswell..i am just in the beginner stuff,is this plane suitable for a beginner?
@TwoBrosRC Жыл бұрын
It can be a beginner's model if you tamp down the control throws and fly with an instructor.

Jon, I know Im probably annoying with all my dumb questions but how did you do the reversed servo in the wing of the Timber X? The only reversed servos I can find are the spektrum OEM replacement.
@TwoBrosRC Жыл бұрын
We reversed it using the transmitter.
@A.M.-RC2 жыл бұрын
Amazing flying! Just got one, but it will be a while before I can fly it, would you recommend upgrading the servos before I assemble it? I won't be pushing it nowhere near as hard as you are but I read many people have them fail, would rather keep them for less demanding planes and get some better ones. I am a bit concerned about changing the ones on the wings, are the covers just glued in?
@TwoBrosRC2 жыл бұрын
Use the servos in my description. They're just better overall, even if you're not flying it hard. They have more resolution and more torque and will last way longer. The elevator and rudder servos have lasted through over a year of aggressive 3D flying, for example. Because they have more resolution, too, the required flap to elevator mix for flap trimming will work without porpoising or too much nose down too. The wing servos are screwed in.

Xoar makes 13x4 props - just check Google for "Xoar 13x4" and you should find it. Alternatively, you can try the Xoar 13x5 which works great on this model: tinyurl.com/Xoar13x5
