A. Excellent thumbnail 🤣 B. Just before watching this I hit 25,738 words for this NaNo so far! I'm in the middle of writing one of the scenes that I was most excited for, which is the meet-cute for two of the characters. "He was trying to climb a tree, and absolutely failing at it."

I'm a rebel this Nano. First draft - out of order, as they came to me. Second draft - very very deliberately in order, to make sense of the chaos. Have fun at the author signing tomorrow!

In the same vein as plotter vs. pantser, I've heard it called being a "knitter" when you write the scenes you're most excited for and then "knit" them all together. With your crocheting, maybe you want to give "knit" writing a try! Thank you for sharing your NaNo journey with us! Happy writing!

Your excitement is contagious! I was kind of at a loss today, but I've decided I'm just overthinking everything. I am super excited to write some more scenes from my 'badass' character. She's a monster slayer, and she loves the kill. (She might be a little sociopathic.) Anywho, she's the complete opposite of my everyday and thus fun to write. Thanks for asking. Now, I'm going to write my butt off for a few hours before the bed comes calling my name. Happy Nano-ing!

Honestly hearing about your book just makes me so excited to read it in the one day in the future! I’m pantsing an entire novel for my first nanowrimo this year! Hitting 17k words right now! 😅 also my favorite scene I’m excited to reach is a getaway scene, everything happens and my characters end up in a world they no longer recognize!

I feel like I already wrote my favorite scene when my character was looking at the behind the scenes of the world. I'm at 12k now.

I’m revising my last year’s NaNo project and am in the last third, so I’m excited to get to the scene where two main characters are using a big community event to spur of the moment escape a quarantined island in order to elude the community’s leader. It’s a return to those characters being cut throat, resourceful, and having each other’s back so it’s a lot of fun (if stressful).

I'm a little over a quarter done (25.01% according to the website) and while today was slower than the previous days, I expected that since I'm drafting instead of outlining. Normally, I write the scenes I'm most inspired to, but I really think this project requires a more straight-ahead writing technique. I'm really excited for the scene where my main character remembers the past on a certain day because it's going to be bitter sweet for him (but mostly bitter. I also generally enjoy lightly torturing characters). But that's not going to be for a while- three scenes into my fourth episode when I'm not even done with my second, haha.

I love how excited you were to write that kill scene 😁 I love that it's all coming together for you so well. I am finding that I have to rework a lot of the beginnings of my chapters because apparently I tend to do too much exposition in the beginnings and giving a recap (as if the reader didn't just read what happened lol). The person who gave me my critique feedback just kept saying trust your reader, trust your reader. I also apparently do more tell than show in my first drafts which is probably why this revision is being a pain lol. I think that scene I'm most looking forward to getting to in this revision is the scene where (okay it's a sad scene) her mother who she was estranged from dies and she has this huge realization after that she took too long to move past the hurt and pain from before and to let the past go and now that she's ready to let it go and forgive her mother it's too late. I think that might be the one scene that I don't plan on changing too much because when I first read it back it made me cry. I'm sorry for the novel of a comment. Looking forward to Friday's video! Take care Kate! ❤

i had one line that came to me which i was looking forward to putting in the new version of the book, felt so good to actually write it in the manuscript though. adds a fair bit of depth and hints at a bit of information that i knew about my characters but didn't have a way to put in the book before.

I’m writing a screenplay for NaNo. I plotted the 13-episode TV series like two years ago, and ever since then I’ve been excited about writing episode 8. Episode 8 is the one that I wrote this past weekend during the 30 hour writeathon. I’m really happy with how it turned out. I think probably my favorite scene in the episode is the final one where two of the characters reconnect after not being on the same page for a bit. As for a favorite WIP… I have no idea. They’re all up there for different reasons. I think maybe it’s my 2020 NaNo project where I got to combine my two favorite time periods: Ancient Egypt and 16th century England. An archeologist uses the off season to find the contemporary full length portrait of Anne Boleyn that was surely made, but thus far no evidence has been found for it.

Hi! Nice scene. I'm also writing a 1920s romance, but mine is Gothic, and my scene that I look forward to is when my poor orphan who got into high society on accident loses her virginity to a charming and handsome new money guy before marriage, and it gets revealed to everyone mysteriously.

Love the thumbnail! Fellow South Texan here. Yes, the mosquitoes are annoying, I've little mosquito bites all over me, ugh. Do I think is gonna be non-stop rain in the following days as they say? Nope. Am I still hoping for it? Yes. It's good writing vibes. The scene I'm most excited to write is the scene where we find out the real reason why the MMC doesn't want to help the FMC because it reveals a lot of the true history of an event she thought she knew very well. The most exciting part is because he's confessing this to the antagonist and she just happens to overhear them. Also, we see the parallels between the morally gray MMC and the antagonist. On another news, I hit 30K on my NaNoWriMo Project today, yes!!!

I am doing Nano Ina rebel way😅 I'm transcribing my story, that I had handwritten, on my PC. But I'm happy to say that I'm still on track for success according to their page as I hit 20,200 yesterday altho I think is so interesting that handwritten I had 10,800 and after transcribing I ended up with 9000 more words, maybe because I already know most of the story and can add details or modify the story better, who knows.😂 I am just happy it would be easier to modify and add what I still have missing. And I can't wait to figure out what I want for the end of the struggle to be so that I can write my ending😅

There's a scene coming soon that I really look forward to. My main character (a poor orphan who got into high society on accident) loses her virginity to a charming and handsome new money guy before marriage (this is the 1920s), and the information is leaked against either of them's wishes, and the MC especially is judged and shamed, and there's conflict, and just...
