So apparently the ink injection method of the fencing jacket isn't confirmed and is likely a myth so for the time being disregard the S tier of the tierlist. I am going to try email the CCP team about this as apparently they will sometimes respond to clear up misinformation.

They did in the new Runway thing with Ducktape, lol, they made shorts and explained why they used Ducktape, honestly i don't know what to say, my style isn't for everyone either, is weird ,so i can't throw stones at anyone 💀, i like to look at Fashion brands and get inspired by, or just take specific objects as inspiration then to make it fit my personality. Like there is time i don't like 99% of the outfit they have but i like the glasses, then i think what this kind of glass would fit with a different item, if makes sense what i said.

This guy absolutely is producing this stuff as art pieces, whatever he says. None of it is for wearing really, it's for having and looking at. His 'I am not an artist' line is in the same vein as Magritte's 'this is not a pipe'. That said, the rubberized horse is pretty cool. I'm pretty sure those aren't real teeth either, they appear to be ceramic or resin, probably the same as dentures.

Intestine as a clothing material isn't that weird. When worked with tiny stitches of sinew thread, tanned by soaking and smoking it, you can make a completely water tight material good for raincoats or protective packaging and the fact it's translucent and often crinkly gives it an interesting effect. Kniting it is a little weird though, especially with that photo looking like such a loose knit that the waterproof properties are entirely nullified. But a tighter knit intestine sweater? With the soaked and smoked tanning method? I'd wear it

it is definitely best to tread with caution when it comes to carol info online- the injection of dye into the veins of a living animal is almost certainly just folklore spread by people using it as a way to drum up controversy and views among a younger fashion crowd who get their primary info from tiktok and youtube- a mad artist committing horrible cruelty sells far better than a skilled craftsman using an unconventional technique(injecting dye between the layers of raw hide). but the myth connects quite well to the themes that carol's work endeavors to leave its audience with + it's not hurting his team financially so it really just adds to the mystique. anyways great video! you're putting out some really solid work

Are you saying you just highly doubt it's true or do you have a legitimate source to back the claim of it being a myth? Extreme cruelty to animals would seem like a myth most designers would want to shake.

@@foooodeatr343 Its a myth, caused by people trying to explain an effect they see without proper understanding and jumping to conclusions. And here is the proof, highlighting the effect, on a pair of boots made of guidi reverse horsebutt leather: preview.redd.it/u84iwc1ksg7a1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aa32e4e202c5af7bda8f97d7e0e956fc33128ce0 This example proves that one does not need to use any strange or cruel techniques to achieve such an effect. When dying the leather, dye can be absorbed much more quickly by the blood vessels compared to other parts of the skin, so you get this effect.

@@foooodeatr343 I'm not sure if my comments are loading, but yes its just a myth. It is an effect of blood vessels absorbing dye faster than the rest of the skin. No cruelty needed.

@@foooodeatr343 ive been trying to post a link in here to proof that will show you that this is a myth but it seems that links are blocked. If you google 'HORSE BUTT CONCERIA GUIDI ”Flower marbled & Fiore”' or 'Truman MTO navy horse rump R/O' you will see this contrast blood vessel effect.

6:28 Those staples look very much like a typical Isaac Sellam detail to me, although they have Carol's dead end seams... Does anybody know whether that was a collaboration or something?
@Matt-uf2nc

Good eye, this is an isaac sellam jacket. Sellam was inspired by the dead end seams and applied his staple motif to the concept. This is no collaboration, just a mistake in the video.

Regarding the contradictory statements and incongruous gender segregation- I think it's just that he wasn't done thinking about it and/or experimenting. This would kind of position these collections as a step towards something else, true experiments (as in, trying stuff, not knowing if they're gonna be the final answer to anything).

I’m convinced these high fashion designers are nothing but the world’s biggest trolls laughing all the way to bank over what they’ve managed to convince people is cool enough to blow thousands of dollars on.

Bro, I am not even a fan of fashion. Yes , I do care about my looks (and I prefer simples outfits: leather boots, jeans and shirt), but not in a way as guys like you do. Despite that, I am a curious person and watching your videos about this world just amazes me. You gained a sub. Keep going! 🎉

10:42 i mean i don't think that's really the reason why people feel offended and angry about that piece. that just sounds unnecessarily cruel, everyone knows animals are getting killed for certain products, it's how they get killed that can piss people off
