I bought a High Mileage VA WRX. The car was giving me issues since I bought it, and something seemed off. I reached out to my Tuner, Clark Turner, to see if we could get it running smoothly again.
After following some of his advice, I did some maintenance, and he re-tuned the car. However, that didn't solve all of our issues. So the hunt begins. I will be diving deeper into the car, trying to diagnose these issues to see if we can keep this FA20 running for another 50K-100K miles.

The WRX Is sitting at 70K Miles.
So far, I have:
- Changed Spark Plugs
- Cleaned Intake Filter
- Cleaned Maf Sensor
- Inspected Turbo Inlet
- Inspected Intake Couplers
- Inspected Boost Controller
- Inspected Intercooler Couplers
- Re-tuned Vehicle
Some of the things I think could be an issue:
- Clogged Cat
- Failing LPFP
- Failing HPFP
- Clogged Injectors
- Carbon Buildup
- Coil Packs
Hopefully, I can get to the bottom of the issue. And we can start to focus on the fun stuff.
