I found the way you go through the pattern really great. Thanks for taking the time to educate the beginner.

This video is very helpful, thank you! After studying ITF for 12 years, I have recently started at a new WT club and the similarity (yet differences) is quite confusing. The walking stance feels similar to an ITF L stance & the front stance is similar to an ITF walking stance. Very confusing. But thank you for this video, I will probably watch it another 20 times, to adjust my mind to the new stances :)

I am not Master Woo but I am also a 6th Dan. Marking your punch allows for power and the overall "pazaz" of the technique. If your instructor taught you to do this you should do it after all they are the one grading you. Additionally, if you can get forms down, such as timing, power, and technique everything else will come much easier.

The videos are great, I would suggest more room to move rather than adjusting because of walls. I am also a 6th Dan and I love form/poomsae work and I believe this will assist in the learner learning and the overall technique.

Very nice and useful, Sir. Thank you for doing this. One detail you might want to consider for teaching the rest of the poomsae's is to have a student and teach to the student instead of the camera. It creates a more studio-like, familiar environment.

Excellent example. I can learn easily from your instruction. I did find it hard to understand what you were saying, because there is an echo in your room.

in 7:32 there is a reason about the changing in direction, is about redirecting the attacker and about the final relative position between you and the aggressor.

@berimli most of time, I do the lesson in the morning, when kids are in school, it's hard to find someone around that time. But I understand what you mean. I'm totally agree with you. Cheers,

Master Woo Thank you for this and all the other instructional videos you have made. In the Dojang where I assist, the students who come the maximum amount of time get three hours of instruction per week. As I am sure they want more I have directed them to your channel where they can get additional quality instruction. Kahm sa hamnida Woo Sa Bum Nim!

Upper block, front kick, punch. If you drop the blocking hand that grabs the attacker wrist where are you punching if the attacker was repelled previously by the kick?

@xmasuperhero as a white belt you don't do any form Taeguk, the very first is on yellow belt (Il Jhang), you perform a custom move that change acording with your master.
Hello, master Woo. My master taught me to "mark" every punch and block in the poomse (for example reading the opposing fist to pull it to your hip as you throw your punch), but I did noticed that some people, like you, don't "mark" the punches in the ap cubi (front stance) that follow a low block. Is that the right way? Is "marking" optional? I'm taking the green belt exam Sunday and am very interested in doing everything properly. Thanks for the videos and any response you can give me. :-)
