This is a great introduction to Junji Ito's style of horror. Not just body horror, as other people have mentioned, but the concept of a "psychic contagion", like a harmful meme. You experienced it in the form of feeling uneasy, or becoming intensely aware of spirals on your own body, even though you know you're watching a piece of fiction. The next episode was animated by a different studio but I hope the series animation comes back up in quality for the next stories. Yall are in for a RIDE.😅

It’s good to know that suichi can sense this stuff because he leaves town to go to his other school then comes back to town (manga explains) and they don’t just leave the town most likely because they are all attracted to the town like a spiral… it’s kinda hinted later but never fully explained

Episode 2 is good and you should continue, but the animation is AWFUL moving forward after this one. These production companies are out of control not giving their artists and writers time to actually complete their projects. I don't know who the exact publisher is (adult swim?), but shame on them

Sorry dude. Episode 2 has a noticeable dip in quality. I heard it was outsourced to 8 different studios and the director from episode 1 is not the same for 2. Can’t imagine why they would make such a change after episode one looked so good.
