Reelz, the Rogue/DH dev, confirmed in the DH discord that if you talent a covenant ability or legendary effect, the talent is supposed to override whatever non-talent effect you're using. It is not intended to have 2 of the same ability through talents, Covenants, and legendaries.

@@evisturus3939 Yeah, Reelz led on DH/Rogue and Nimox led on Hunter/Shaman, those are the only 2 we know by gamertag but the original lead dev for Druid and Priest left the company shortly after the trees were revealed. That's why it took so long for those trees to be readdressed and why the druid class tree is still a mess.

Even though there isn't much to the first phase of prepatch, I am just happy that Chromie Time will be through 60 now. I am one for the story, so I generally enjoy doing the normal questing for my toons, even my alts, but I have not really enjoyed the Shadowlands very much, and I have tried. It just feels like too many missed opportunities to link old content/NPCs that have died into this new plane of existence. Even when Anduin comments about souls from many realms too many to count pouring into the Maw during the initial quest chain to get to Shadowlands, you would think we would have seen some souls of races we have never seen before. That would have been interesting, even if we will never be able to play them. Anyway, enough rambling, bring on the updated Chromie Time!

IM SICK of doing shadowlands story, I don't like the leveling through the fate side sense its boring. I'd rather lvl from 50-60 in legion, wrath, cata, mop, hell even BFA before I lvl again in Shadowlands. If they allowed you to pick and choose the zones you'd like to lvl in first like they did in BFA that would be AWESOME but no you have to go through bastion first, so this is awesome that Chromie Time will be through 60.

Speaking of Galakrond, they're apparently adding Rafaam to WoW (though it doesn't seem to have gone past him being in the files as of yet) and in Hearthstone, Rafam revived Galakrond but was thwarted by the reveal that Reno Jackson was actually a dragon. I wonder if these events will be relevant to Dragonflight. Also Rafaam is an Ethereal, which were created by a void lord, *_a servant of the old gods_* tearing apart their bodies and them using advanced technology to hold themselves together as best they could and they are known for traversing and being corrupted by the void, the element the old gods are associated with. I main a feral druid (no judging), and I'm just glad to have found in the PTR that we are getting all of Wild Charge, and not just the Fly to Ally part, which is all I found everywhere I looked. As long as I have my pounce on enemy, I'm good. To me, that is essential cat behavior, and the class just wouldn't be the same without it.

What World of Warcraft do you live in that players with Interrupts actually use them on even just a borderline regular basis? Interrupts and Mitigation are 100% already optional. Source; I'm a healer. I actually think this is a good change because it'll let the tards that don't know how to interrupt or use their mitigations to at least do a bit more damage. They're going to refuse to use those abilities either way.

To be honest they just read a bunch of wowhead articles, condense them and then make their videos. The editing definitely takes the most time. Taliesin and his charisma are what carries this in my opinion. And just in general them having a more positive energy is what I find enjoyable. But yes more subs for them agreed. Sadly most world of Warcraft channels aren't doing very well right now even with a new expansion on the horizon.

@@furyisuponu Would if I could, but Blizz decided years ago to stop reporting their dwindling subscriber count which in my opinion is evidence enough. However, there are numerous other metrics to gauge player activity / sub counts. You can look at Addon websites. You can look at Google search activity for WoW keywords. You can look at engagement in end game raiding activity as they do list guilds progression-- none of these are absolute but all of them paint the exact same picture. Another metric would be Twitch viewership. Again, alone none of those "sources" can prove much but together? At the end of the day though, if Blizzard had worthwhile subscriber counts they would advertise their success. Instead they choose to hide their failure and the last few copium huffing superfans will make every excuse under the sun to ignore all those various metrics. It's kind of sad, because in my opinion it means they don't actually want the game to improve. Can't improve something if you refuse to acknowledge there's something wrong.

I think pretty clearly Raszageth's siblings, who are imprisoned in the Vault of the Incarnates raid, are going to be freed, and should represent the major antagonists for the expansion. Question is, are they called Incarnates because they are the embodiment of a deity made flesh, or because it sounds cool. Either way, I think we are going to have 5 proto-dragons to stand counter to the Aspects. The zone description is 'The Primalists breached the Titan prison used to hold the Incarnates for millennia. Within, Raszageth performs a foul ritual to unleash her siblings, so together they can purge the world of the Titans' influence. The champions of Azeroth must assault this impregnable fortress and break their defenses to end this threat. While many could fall, defeat condemns all the realms to the Incarnates' reign of fire and blood.'

I think it is worth noting that, what the splash screen says, may not be the only thing we get. We already know they are hiding more stuff. Especially in the last patch and I wouldn't be surprised if there is more stuff in the first week. If there isn't, I don't really mind. It allows me to work on class trees on all my characters and not feel like I am wasting time and getting behind.

With Legion Blizzard wrapped up the Burning Legion/Titans story line, and touched on the Light, Void, and Dream story lines. With Shadowlands they wrapped up the Undead/Lich King story line. The Elemental Lords, Old Gods, and Void story lines have been a part of WoW history, even returning in BFA, but haven't been fully wrapped up yet. So if there's some cosmic threat out there as hinted at by the Jailer, then one would expect the next expansion to look at Light and Void/Elemental takes on it. So it's not surprising that we're getting Elemental invasions as some sort of precursor to Old God shenanigans in the prepatch.

You know, it wouldn't surprise me if the content drought and poorly balanced patches we got in Shadowlands was a direct consecuence of Blizzard realizing that the expansion was doomed by design (in the eyes of the players). So, they got all hands on deck to make dragonflight possible (like what happened with legion during warlords) abbandoning Shadowlands development very early early on to focus all their resources in dragonflight.

It's actually 5 talent tree points that we'll be missing while lvl 60 in prepatch not 10. you get 25/30 points at lvl 59 in spec tree and 26/31 points in class tree at lvl 60. Imho i'd be choosing SL for lvling 10-60 myself, got flying available + the zones are quite compact compared to everything else tbh, also revendreth still rocks and no one can change my mind on it.

An old gods twist would be a good way to bring in a new, Better, evergreen version of torghast with a twisting winding old god temple/dungeon where the layouts canonically don’t make sense allowing for a lore justification for some drastically varied layouts and aesthetics from run to run, like suddenly finding a forest that doesn’t exist on the map or a door that leads to a completely different environment but doesn’t return you if you go back through. Crazy shit like that is a perfect fit for an old god torghast-like dungeon. Much better than the current trend of “purple/red shit and tentacles everywhere”

Evokes and Talents are the 2 things that were mandatory for the first part. It's pretty annoying to play alone on the PTR/Beta Server and I'd love to learn Evoker before shit gets serious. At least I have a very long christmas holiday to play in.

Dracthyr flying/soaring is a big let down since we didn’t get similar abilities for our covenants. Finishing an expansion in the afterlife and joining the LITERAL ANGELS (or other less worthy choices) and NOT getting wings to fly ourselves around is a huge missed opportunity. Note that I didn’t say “crime” or “tragedy”, because I’m not a drama queen.

Does Nozdormu become Murozond though? In the End Times dungeon, Deathwing is clearly impailed on the top of Wyrmrest Temple but he dies in the Maelstrom. So isn't it entirely possible that Nozdormu either won't become Murozond or at least won't become him in the same way as the End Times dungeon?

Well technically, that timeline never got to exist because Nozdormu kept it separate from the "sacred timeline" and it was through our actions and success that we prevented the "End Times" from appearing. This also means that because it wasn't put into the main timeline that Murozonds death "technically" isn't cannon, in a similar way that makes it so Alternate Dreanor exists separately from Outland and thus requires complex and powerful magics to interconnect the two separate realities. Further adding on that is the fact that Murozond is known as the infinite, and he claims to exist infinitely across and outside of time, and given the slow reveal that the titans weren't as ideal as we first thought, it's possible that Murozond isn't even dead and at this point I can go down all sorts of rabbit holes so we'll just leave it at "Murozond technically died but only in an alternate timeline that doesn't exist and could theoretically exist in multiple alternate timelines meaning that we never killed our Murozond because our Murozond never existed yet."

Hey Tali, there was never any confirmation that Murozond was corrupted by the Old Gods, we don’t know what did/will catalyze his transformation, the Infinites never had void powers, and in FACT, if they had succeeded in preventing the Dark Portal Opening, the Old Gods would still be alive and trapped, because it was Cho’gol and his Twilight’s Hammer who destroyed the chains and partially freed Yogg and C’Thun, and I think he had something to do with digging up Y’sharjss heart but I’m less certain on that one

Ahem. Murozond is the leader of the infinite dragonflight, and a future counterpart of the Aspect of Time, Nozdormu. In some future, Nozdormu is corrupted by the Old Gods and creates the infinite dragonflight.[2][3] Murozond is described as existing out of time, living alone among time-twisted echoes of the past. He made his lair in one of an infinite number of potential futures, called the End Time.[4][1] He notably wanted to prevent Thrall, by intervening at various points in time during his life, from stopping the Hour of Twilight. Murozond believed that the End Time, a potential future where the Hour of Twilight successfully happens, would still make for a much better future than the "true End Time" that he had witnessed.[5] In Cataclysm, Murozond used the Hourglass of Time to interfere with his past counterpart's efforts to send heroes to the past, which would result in a change of the bleak future, in which the maddened wyrm made his lair. The master of the infinite dragonflight tasked Aeonus to oversee the disruption of key moments in the true timeway.[6] After Nozdormu sent twelve bronze dragons through the timeways, they discovered that no matter where they attempted to journey in history, they always emerged at the same point in the future, the Hour of Twilight.
