Sad to say that over 20 years later, this is still one of Dwayne Johnson’s best movies, if not probably the best movie he ever did. I was fortunate to catch it at the theater back in 2003. I actually watched it recently and it still holds up. Wouldn’t actually mind a sequel after all these years.

I liked him in Walking Tall as well. There was something that he used to bring to a movie that just isn't there anymore.

@@rhaimusg5785 Walking Tall was a movie that was cut too lean for its own good, but Rock was solid.
@ethinos2719Күн бұрын
I don't know if that's really sad. Look at how many bands have their best album being their debut album. Sometimes magic just happens early and it's hard to replicate it again.
@jliller13 сағат бұрын
@@ethinos2719 Debut albums usually represent years of work and fine tuning. Sophomore albums are often rushed to capitalize on the success of the first album. Nirvana is an outlier that their first album was clearly the beta edition and their second album was the refined product.

3 words: Seann William Scott, the greatest side comic actor in the film history! American Pie, Jay and Silent Bob, Evolution, Cop out, Old School, Role Models and he makes Goon one of the best sports movies ever!

This movie is actually called 'Welcome to the Jungle' to which i prefer than the later name change to 'Rundown'
@ethinos2719Күн бұрын
It's an American film and called 'The Rundown' here, therefore, that's the true title. It's only known as that alternate title in lesser countries.

Combination of Midnight Run and Romancing the Stones great chemistry between The Rock and Sean Williams Scott
@chadb9270Күн бұрын
This is my favorite Dwayne Johnson movie. He’s not yet full on action man, he still has to work on his comedy. Plus this chemistry with Sean Williams Scott is fantastic. I wish they had done a sequel where they teamed up as disgruntled bounty hunters. It would’ve been spectacular.
@thetalentofКүн бұрын
Got to love the aesthetic of 'The Rundown' which makes it 100x more fun, shot on Panavision Super 35 to give it those gorgeous warm kodak colors with the same cinematic texture that 'Romancing the Stone' and 'No Time to Die' have.

This is actually my favorite movie with The Rock, everytime it's on a steaming service or tv I watch it. I wish they would do a sequel, or a TV series with the actor who plays the adult version of the Rock in the show about his life. Peter Berg is a bit of a schlock director, but he really hit a homerun with this one.

The most important thing The Rock could do in his life is to make a sequel to The Rundown. It’s his best film. Call it “The Fast Walk”.
