It is expensive ONLY due to the suppliers HIGH meat prices out of NYC, the most expensive city in the USA. Anywhere else would be quite a bit lower.

davidroto reuther a5 wagyu, runs about 80 to 100 dollars + for that slab he used. For your typical Whole Tri Tip size if it was wagyu will run you over 1500 USD easy, and that isn't from NYC. Try again
@aliam8040

davidroto reuther if you think you've had it before, try again most restaurants say they use wagyu but don't; instead they use ribeye. real wagyu has a buttery consistency to it went eaten.

I'm no red seal, but I'm working towards it. The first time I watched your videos was when you showed how to make cool cucumber art. Ever since then I've been hooked!!! I just wanna say thank you for the inspiration to be more. Your Ideas on how to make sushi gave me the inspiration to try to make sushi. I always look forward to watching your next video, and always wait anxiously for the next🤓 in closing I would like to say something I say to all the people I care about... an that is PEACE, LOVE AND COOKIES

One night it was me, my friend Fred and my friend Carl hanging out at my house. My mom was working 3rd shift, and when we got bored, strange things happened. We were outside and my friend Fred gets the idea that Carl should run down the street naked. He refused. I tell him "c'mon man, it's like 3AM, nothing is going to happen." To be fair, I really thought nothing would happen. We lived in a very small town in the south. Everybody was asleep. So after much arguing, we finally talk him into it. There he was, completely naked, save for a pair of brown Chuck Taylors. We jogged down my driveway, and into the street. We were like "just run to the end of the street, and then run back." I forgot to mention, that I lived on a hill, and when he ran away, at one point he ran out of sight. Once, we see him running down the hill naked, then for a brief moment he's out of sight. Suddenly, he comes back into sight, running towards us, no longer jogging, but sprinting. Full speed. Cock and balls flapping in the wind. And behind him is a police car driving after him. He dashed past us without so much as acknowledging our presence. I knew we were all in a lot of trouble, but I was immobilized on the ground because I was laughing so hard, as was Fred. The cop, of course caught up to Carl. He made Carl walk along the side of the car back to my house, got out and told us he was going take all of us in for all kinds of trouble. He let Carl put his clothes back on. I actually was pretty sure we were going to the station. I was afraid how much trouble I might get from my strict parents. He picked up a phone and asked for my number so I told him... "Good Afternoon". All was good.

Hi there! You wrote in the description: "The ingredients in this dish costs over $313.00; in order to sell it at the restaurant, we would need to multiply the cost by 3-4 times, rendering the price to $1000-1200.00" Can you please explain why that is? why would you need to multiply the cost by 3-4 times in order to sell it at a restaurant?

@@DiariesofaMasterSushiChef are you kidding me? I've worked in the business a long time and nobody operates at 25% profit margins. These numbers are delusional at best.... McDonald's for God's sakes makes 6 to 10% and that's mass produced food. I call bullshit. You would sell 1a year and close your doors after 2 weeks.
@Dreshi12
@Dreshi12 6 жыл бұрын
@@JosephdiCaro You also have to take into consideration that there is a risk in having alot of money/value in a vary few items. So there is a bigger risk if for example the quality is inadequate, or the food is spoiled and or "lost".
@JosephdiCaro
@JosephdiCaro 6 жыл бұрын
@@Dreshi12 exactly! That was my point in closing after 2 weeks just keeping those ingredients on hand. It's an utterly foolish idea. If i can't walk into a restaurant and order it when i want, you can't call it an item.... A big place that has all these ingredients on hand anyway would maybe put something crazy like this on the menu just for fun but it's a waste of good food if you ask me

"Himalayan sea salt"? how do you get *SEA* salt from the Himalayas?

Its not actually extracted from the himalayas but around the himalayans.

@@ArsiniC11 thanks for the feedback, but i still don't understand. The closest salty body of water to the Himalayas is the indian ocean off the coast of Bangladesh and that's still way too far from the Himalayas for the salt in it to be called "Himalayan sea salt".

I really hope you guys read this Hiro. Here's the thing I like you guys and what you do, I look forward to it. I probably will get some beef for this but I am a Marine biologist and I love both the ocean and freshwater habitats and what they have to offer us so here it is. Yes everything is expensive especially the caviar did you know that when you use a metal spoon to eat or put Beluga caviar on something it becomes worthless the chemical reaction that the metal has with the caviar alters the taste of it. You should be using a mother of peal spoon for the best results when eating expensive caviar.

@larryjohnson3421

That's a myth. If it were true than the metals used for containing the caviar would more than likely do the same thing. It's just an old tale to further justify the means of using a mother of pearl spoon. It's tradition to use that, so they mussed up stories about metal reacting badly to caviar. Edit: Just did a quick little search because I was curious and dove further into the subject. Apparently the myth stems from fact, back in the day when people mostly used silver utensils (instead of the usual stainless steel we use today) the silver reacted with the sulfur in the caviar, causing the silver to blemish and add a taste that, while not unpleasant, probably tainted the caviar regardless. This is probably why the mother of pearl spoons were used, before plastic or stainless steel utensils were invented. Pretty neat, but still, as long as you're not using sterling silver, you're fine!
