Um, even MID size pickups are selling for the price of the Gladiator everywhere I looked. I bet a full size costs thousands more. I saw '23 GMC Canyons averaging $45-65K in my state. I saw Ford F150s averaging $65-90K at a stealership lot that was overflowing with inventory. They even blocked off the road between the lines of vehicles with more vehicles! They clearly are not selling...

Pick you favorite color right off the lot or off of our 2 overflow lots. Not interested in a 2025??? No problems we got you covered with model years as far back as 2022!!!! And guess what??? It's like that at every fuckin single one of them in my area. The dealer closest to me is in quite the affluent suburb of Detroit. So plenty of money and still nobody wants them. You can think whatever you like, but I'm an electrician that wasted the last 5 years of my life working for FCA/Stellantis at Jefferson North. Quit in July. Laziest and most incompetent people I have ever worked with.

High school graduates who work an assembly line are worth, with benefits, $100 an hour? BTW, I'm a high school graduate too, and no more, but I'm not stupid and understand compensation and how it works. I'd say based on what they're paying the workers, they have to charge a lot for the cars and trucks, no? Let's not just put it on the companies here if we're talking about greed. UAW members at Ford, General Motors, and Stellantis ratified new contracts that included record gains. In 2023 UAW workers received at least 25% raises, and some temporary workers received as much as 168% raises. They planned on passing that down to the consumer. BIG MISTAKE. Also, EV was a mistake... Listen again! They get unemployment like everyone else. They also qualify for SUB which is a UAW negotiated Sublimental Unemployment Benifit, that covers only so many weeks. The employees have money deducted every week to fund the SU B account. This type of lay-off was nearly annual until the late 70s , dues to summer shut-downs for model changes.

No they are getting 90% of their pay including unemployment and sub pay. Unemployment insurance is paid by both employees and employers, not taxpayers. And sub pay is presumably union dues or provided by stelantis as a part of Union negotiations. I wish we lived in a country minimum standard of living.

Automakers claim the unions add 500-700/vehicle, when the median sales price of a Wrangler is $53,000 your point falls flat even at the most it's 2% of the cost. Of course they could send the jobs to China or Mexico where the cost of manufacturing is 95% less. But then folks would complain about jobs going overseas. These Jeeps are too expensive and built too poorly with cheap parts. People aren't buying them. There hasn't been a decent Jeep Wrangler built since 2006. Jeep used to be for the working man that liked to go hunting and fishing. Now they are bought by soccer moms, dentists, Chili's Management, and OF girls because they want to cosplay as a rugged person buy they never fo off road. The people that bought a Gladiator aren't buying new ones every year and it is not a real truck. It's a niche vehicle with a limited market. There are way better trucks in the segment of the market.

I've got a top of the line Rubicon, dual top, leather, heated seats, Alpine sound system and more and the STICKER price was $65K (and of course that's not what I paid for it). A few options I didn't even want but had to take them in "packages". I don't know where you people are quoting these prices from. You can get a Wrangler much, much cheaper than mine. Yes, they have $108K Wranglers marked up $40K sitting in showrooms with $4,000 of add-on accessories like the Billy Bob 22" tires, lift kit, roof lights, winch and all kinds of other sh*t nobody will ever use but MUST have to be Billy Bad Azz....and, yes, somebody will buy it too.

Theres a reason Stellantis products in NA were down 48% in sales per the recent sales report. high inventory due to above market pricing with subpar built quality being the reason. Some Dealers are turning back allocations due to oversupply so they have to resort to some plant closures. Thats why this is happening.

The brand has been disproportionately jacking their prices higher than other brands in this case it’s been over 50% in 5 years. I’m not surprised. There has also been a turnover of CEO’s. in some cases of Jeep/dodge/ram where dealer lot inventory exceeds 130 days. I’m not surprised they have stopped production. Stellantis’s market strategy has not been working with them trying to go upscale.

That may have worked in 2020, but when you've got 60+ units just getting covered in cobwebs, you better rethink your business model. There are Wranglers and Gladiators on dealer lots around here that have been sitting for almost a year. Industry average is around 60 days. They are way over-stocked.

Look inventory is huge, also the industry is a cycle and as rates go up sales go down we all seem this cycle for years if anyone is older

Many many unsold units are just parked all around. Many locals have seen and reported this.
